Bit of an article with some reseach (over 2000 people so a small survey) from football.

Obviously the only reason all the new football stadiums are all seaters is becasue they currenlty need to by law for premier league games in this country.
69% of people would prefer to stand usually if they had the choice.
I'd say this is pretty spot on.
Terraces in Germany are pretty popular due to the fact that the tickets are available at a decent price, something that doesn't happen in football here.

I can afford a seating season ticket, I choose to stand and would prefer to do so in future. Watching a game when seated is usually a deeply uncomfortable experience if you're over six foot. I'm not a chav, nor are friends of mine who take their kids in the SS.
Have a mix, seats, standing and corporate. I'd be interested to know what proportion of gate revenue comes from 'corporate boxes', seating, standing etc and whether us 'lumpen chavs of the SS' 'pay our way'?
