It's certainly a well deserved win for Saints. But I felt we took our foot off the gas after our 3rd try and mentally didn't re-focus again until the game was gone. Some slack penalties conceded under very little pressure and two awful defensive set ups for their two tries before half time let them back in. Their 3rd was one of the few pieces of real quality in the match. Only the 3rd time I've seen Percival play, but he looks a very good prospect.

| I know that there will always be at least one brainfart game in every Leeds season, but that was truly awful, painful to watch. But I worry more about how many more meltdown moments and thrown games there will be before we are back up to anything like full strength . All Credit to Saints, they pulled themselves together after a poor start and deserved their win.

Not at all.
Fair play to saints first of all, they worked hard for that but we had all the momentum for the first half hour and should probably have been further ahead but then allowing the two soft tries in that we did just gifted Saints all the confidence back they have been short of.
Lets hope we are not going to return to our regular round efforts of 2011 and 2012 for the rest of the season. If we turn up with that effort against Wigan next week it could be a walloping.
On a side note, thought we again suffered from Burrow running up his own backside constantly and a lack of direction from acting half as the game wore on.Mcshane needs to be used a lot more in the coming weeks IMO.i still stand by my belief Burrow is far more effective coming off the bench and fresh running at tired forwards.

| Terrible performance. Our attack is shocking at the moment, clueless and predictable, with no offloads or players running good angles. We're in dire need of some pace and strike in the back row, we may have some strike in the centres but no-one on the fringes to create space for them. Hardaker IMO is probably the biggest weak link in our attacking structure at the moment, he simply doesn't have any passing game to speak of, and he really needs to learn to pick better lines when he comes into the attacking line as he's becoming far too predictable IMO.
I know some people may think I'm scapegoating Vickery but again I thoughthis lack of pace was exposed again a couple of times, and when he's in the side its an obvious weakness, but to be fair to him he's not the reason we lost. Our discipline at times was terrible, and our goal line defense was ameturish at times. Oh and if Richard Moore keeps his place I'd be very surprised.
The biggest worry I have though is we look absouloutly shattered. Kylie, Hall, McGuire, and Sinfield all look shot to bits at them moment, and I have a horrible feeling one of our mid-season slumps is on the horizon.

While I won't disagree I would prefer a proper hooker with burrow of the bench I thought burrow looked sharper tonight than he has done this season may be wrong but just my initial impression

It was certainly one of the more entertaining games of the season.

I'd agree with you on this. McShane has shown up well each time he plays and I'm sure he'd benefit from some backing and a run in the team

Was it? Didn't find it that entertaining. Granted I was supporting a losing side but was far too sloppy a game for me to call it entertaining

Agree regarding looking knackered can see a few losses coming up against hull and Wigan.
Also agree regarding vickery. Not blaming him for the loss but all I will say is if we do not have an academy lad who isn't better option than vickery then I am worried

Momentum shifted a lot, result in doubt until about 5 mins from time, plenty of tries.
I'd say it was pretty entertaining. I agree it was not high quality.

| Am I the only one who didn't really think our 'amazing' 25 minutes at the beginning really were that amazing? We were ok..good, even, but we wouldn't have been 16-0 up to a better team on that performance. We benefitted tremendously at the beginning from Saints lack of confidence.
We're not doing badly, or awfully as a team, and I think we're WAY too critical after every loss, but the truth is if we're aiming for a Top 2 League spot, and a win against an in-form Wigan, we can't look to the first 25 minutes as 'great' rugby league.

I do agree he was good while we were on the front foot early but as the game wore on it just becomes too obvious what he is going to do.the constant weaving along the line and going knowhere meaning we lose any shape we have.
Not for one minute am i blaming tonights defeat on Burrow, but as you say i would also much rather see a proper hooker out there for the most part and Burrow coming off the bench and picking his moments to do his little scoots from dummy half.

| I couldn't understand why we persisted with one man rugby down the middle channel for so long during the game. Saints moved the ball around a lot more and I think it told in the 2nd half because we looked knackered.
