I believe you are but only if it is deemed to be an improvement to the team... For example we can't name the first team for a game, get people through the gates and then put out the u18's instead. Might be wrong on that tho....
Irellevant tho as McGuire is injured and is not playing.

| I can't see Keinhorst getting picked unless one of the other backs isn't fit. A centre on the bench with just 3 sub appearances would be a massive gamble. As it is, with Delaney and Ward in the squad and the ability of others to switch around, I just don't see the need for a threequarter on the bench.

| I wouldn't start with Ward. Lunt should be at hooker & bring on Stevie to run at the tired Warrington pack later in the game.

Indeed.....then start Keinhorst at LC and put Ablett on the bench. The issue then does not exist, does it ?
Ablett instead becomes the extra useful bench forward ....who is also the best stand-in centre the club has.
Either way the room for Keinhorst in the starting 17 is still valid IMO ( IF McGuire is not fit )

Do even you really, honestly believe that Keinhorst, at this stage of his career, is a better centre than Ablett?

Either way, I'm sure there is a logic to putting Ablett on the bench in order to shoehorn Keinhorst into the starting team any which way, thus arguably weakening the LC position. I'm just not sure what it is?

| We won't need Ablett in the second row because Hall will be playing there to allow Chisholm to be on the wing. So of course Ablett should be on the bench.

Not bad logic and 'out of the box' thinking Nanty
Warrington are a great attacking side and are likely to score points in most games. So whilst needing a big defensive effort we will also need to keep putting plenty of points on the board to have a realistic chance if winning. Therefore I do not think that packing the bench with similar forwards, who will put in the tackles but offer little in attack, is the best game plan to beat the Wires.
With Delaney, JP and JJB capable of high tackle counts and long game time backed up with a big effort from Bailey we should have room for some extra attacking flare too. Therefore I think your suggestion is a valid one as with Ablett coming off the bench we will maintain the quality of the afore mentioned when they rotate. Playing Keinhorst would mean taking a risk but one that could well be worth it.
I would start Ward in the halves and Burrow at 9 and keep both on when Lunt gets a shift. We have to attack them and gain the initiative and that means not only taking some risks but also taking our attacking opportunities whenever they come which means having creative players always on hand.
I would have taken a risk with Webb on the bench but I guess the coaches know if he is not mentally prepared for this one.

Keinhorst is very new to RL at this level, and quite new to it at any level. He shows great promise, but nothing in his 3 appearances so far suggest that he is yet at a level where you would describe him as a likely game changer from the bench. Webb as a gamble I can understand, Keinhorst's pay-off for the gamble is too unlikely. His time may well come, but I don't think it's this time.
