| Quote Highbury Rhino="Highbury Rhino"Am off to New York around 17th to 22nd November, is there a game worth taking in whilst I'm out in that area? (Not really an afficianodo-but really fancy seeing some live sporting action US style)'"
The only NFL game on in New York between the dates you said is on Sunday 22nd (8.20 p.m local time), it's New York Giants at home to the Philadelphia Eagles which should be a good game, no idea about tickets TBH but I'm sure someone on here can tell you more about that.
I'm not really a fan of baseball/hockey but if you fancy that there is threads that you could ask on the > [url=http://viewforum.php?f=30other sports forum[/url < , should be able to get some info on them

You should definatley do that. just to add to LFCPatriotrhino you should also try and take in an Ice hockey game. they're great fun. Like Super League on Ice. There's plenty of NY teams and it's in season so you should be able to catch one.
If you need any info for Giants tickets etc let me know.

| Thanks guys, It would be great to take in some live american football not sure the missus would wear 2 sporting events in a 5 day trip aimed largely at being dragged around the stores of Manhattan!
G1 may take you up on your kind offer of help to get hold of tickets, but before I prevail upon you I will have a look on relevant websites. I guess the Giants v the Eagles is a bit of a local derby (by US standards) so should be some 'atmosphere'
Once again thanks for the heads up and the pointer about the ice hockey

| Adam just sorted me two tickets out for me and the lad. At £50 each (cheapest available) I think the NFL are killing the goose that laid the golden egg here.
I've been to all of them but at these prices it will be my last one unless the Redskins come over.
I suspect demand is much lower than previous years due to the lockout recession because there were 8 tickets available per application this time, much higher than usual.

| Can't disagree about the prices. Im in the same pricing group as 2 years ago and back then it cost £67.50. This year it cost £80!!! That's a hell of a lot of inflation right there. Only saving grace is that im between the halfway and 40 yard lines which I am stoked about.

Good seats. If it were the Skins I'd pay what they're asking so I am not critical of you. Heck, I've paid much more to sit in club seats at Fedex.
I just think the NFl need to be careful.

| As long as the customers keep turning up, the NFL will keep pushing the envelope in terms of what they can get away with charging.
The first time there's a disappointing attendance, they'll use that as an opportunity to take it somewhere like Berlin or Tokyo instead where demand will be just as high as it was for that first regular season game at Wembley.
Win-win for the NFL. Either Wembley keeps generating higher and higher revenues or they'll find somewhere else that does.

Aye, and they have pushed the envelope as far as it will go with me after this year.
