| Quote: Marty Grrrrrrrrrr! "You're blaming the coach for the high tackles? Its Rugby League mate not a punch and judy show. The coach doesnt control every movement or action. Jeez.
The lack of discipline early on may have took a lot of juice out of the team allowing Catalans to get on a roll later on dont you think?'"
The discipline in general from this Team is poor some of the high tackles wre lazy poor technique ,the 6 again the mothing off & offsides should be better the discipline & self control come from the Coach down.
Tony Smith would fine players for poor discipline Graham Murray instilled a toighness but our discipline was good in the main.
The odd high tackle will always happen as will the odd offside etc but were well on our way to 20 penalties plus that should be unacceptable & something the Coach addresses no?

| With the team we had out there our only chance of winning was to speed up the play the ball and move their forwards around the pitch.
Once you let a pack and the power of their backline get on top you`re done.
Our forwards were far too lightweight.
Sutcliffe isn`t a half back and apart from Newman who didn`t do too much wrong we have no pace in our backline.
Smith the best Leeds forward and Donaldson once again punching above his weight.
Second game running Kasiano who Leeds could have signed the impact Catalans needed.
Still think if we`re picking another winger to play opposite Handley it has to be Luke not Tom

| Mik, Tet, King and Martin definitely improve the pack, and both our hookers are knackered.
We still need either Lui or McLelland in at 6 to guide that right hand side.
Great to see Harry get a game under his belt. Think we’re missing a fit Handley this year too.
The enforced rest won’t do Mik any harm.
Assuming Sezer is about done there is still a wee bit of recruitment to sort out.

| Didn't get to see the game live but just watched it. Obvious to me. We had two props, when at full strength we'd have five. Would have won both games with a close to full strength side. Frustrating thing is that doesn't appear to be a possibility this side of hell freezing over.

| Agars presser seemed very honest and he seemed rather annoyed at the second half performance especially the discipline

| Pleased with Agars presser, he nailed everything imo and didnt hide behind excuses/reasons. We all know the sides missing players and most are overworked, but some of that stuff in the second half was amateur, Agar seemed as angry as iv seen him which suggests he felt the same.

| Yep good honest press conference. The only thing i would disagree with is that the 2nd half disipline cost us and we started the game ok. We didnt. The 1st 15 mins was awful giving restart sets and high tackles aplenty and gave Catalans a lot of early ball which led partly to the 2nd half i thought. We did too much defending early on.
We then got to grips with the game for the remainder of the half and played some lovely stuff. 2nd half was probably worst half of the season???
Pleased he said he had to rotate his middles due to the obvious workload on their shoulders. There are people on here whos views i respect and I believe know the game better than most but when we lose get a little silly for an hour or 2 and then go back to their sensible views again.
Too many errors, too many penalties, 50% completion rate, poor poor kicking game. I suspect players like Gale, Dwyer, Sutcliffe, Leeming and even Prior will not be enjoying the review this morning at Kirkstall.
A self inflicted loss.

| regardless we are moving forward well.
a good 6, a winger and we will be challenging sooner rather than later.

Totally agree, bar the Hull KR theres been a lot to take out of the performances, I just hope we get to see some kind of first choice squad for some games, we’ve hardly seen Tetetevano but what we have seennshows hell add a lot to the team.
Good to see hurrell get some sort of form back, hes got his faults but still provides a lot of threat

| Share Agar's frustration with the indiscipline, but I do think some of the penalties stem from the fact last night at least we had a team of Middleweights taking on Heavyweights. After a certain point everything becomes a struggle and mistakes get made. I'm probably being too generous to the players, but overall the signs are positive.

We will see but thats the impression i get too. The youngsters will continue to improve and develop and are getting more game time than anyone expected. The forwards badly missed Mikolaj and Tetevano last night but they will return. Newman back and did well. Theres positives there for sure. We arent far off a squad able to compete again i.dont think.
Still think 9 is an issue personally. Hopefully Corey can get going over next few months with York. Personally i.dont really trust either of our current 9s but weve gone over that before and we wont be adding another 9 for the foreseeable.

| I think our first half performances in the previous two games shows we are not far off although I was more disappointed yesterday.

| Think we need to accept that we’re not gonna have a settled team for a while.
We’re prone to picking up injuries at the moment.
And the discipline is poor, and with the RFL clamping down on high and tip tackles, we could have a couple out suspended every week!
And add in the COVID track and trace mess….
Some positives to take from the game, but Cats were there for the taking last night and we blew it, whatever excuses we offer.
We didn’t actually play that well in the first 40, just Cats were awful and we took all our chances.
Back down to Earth in second half.
The pack was steam rolled by a bigger, stronger unit.
Discipline has to be the focus this week.
High tackles are lazy and can be driven by tiredness, but the tip tackles are just brain farts and need addressing ASAP!!

| Thought Dwyer was terrible last night, missed tackles, woeful service from Dummy Half...100% efrort, but when Agar mentioned the lack of composure, id be amazed if he didnt have Dwyer at the front of his mind.
