Quote: ALAW "Another week another loss. But many positives to take out again. Valuable experience for the young lads who really stepped up again. Thought broadbent was caught out a few times but will benefit for that. Once again oledski impresses. Platform set regullaly and once the injured players return should be producing more. Didn't see eastmond on the pitch apart from one pass. If no one back for next week I'd put Martin back in the back row and move Smith to the halves'"

He didn’t do lots in attack but was pretty good in D, think he will go ok with a few more games

Another big efforts from the young lads again tonight. Obviously lacking ideas with Martin in the halves again, but the defence has tightened up ten fold.

Oledzki class again, kid’s a monster, and Prior immense as always. How good a defender is Alex Sutty? Christ the lad can bang above his weight.

The pleasing thing is, we’re not a million miles off with a scratch side. Looking forward to seeing what we can do with some bodies back.

One last thing, Luke Briscoe was good again, I’d be dropping their kid if I was Agar when Handley’s back.

Tom Briscoe gets justified stick, but tonight he should rightly be applauded for a much better performance.

Imagine how good he will be when he gets a decent half to play off and the coaches get him running the right lines. I’d love him to be a bit more aggressive but plenty of time for that to come yet.

Thought that game was there to be won, Martyns rubbish kick and follow up defense the back breaker for us. Great effort again but frustrated tonight, bit more composure and it was there for us.

Big Mik was outstanding, L briscoe and Leeming very good. A Suttcliffes a second row all day long going forward imo, he's a solid but think he could be a very good second row, his head on defense is top draw.

They're waxing lyrical about Hastings try on Sky!!
It was just a bad missed tackle from Martin.

Hardaker ahead of Tomkins at FB for England as well. Still class.

And Smithies would do well to model his game on Farrell rather than Bateman.
He's a good player, no need for the dirty, grubby stuff.

Another great effort. Two years ago, maybe even last year we'd lost by forty or fifty. Oledski brilliant. Mellor's best game at the club. Not a massive fan of either Briscoe but thought both ran really strongly. Couple of nice touches from Eastmond and he'll only get better. Those players 100% want to play for Agar. We'll be very good once we get a few back.

Some really pleasing stuff, not a backward step from anyone. That said I'll be glad to get bodies back as we'll struggle to break down any team with current personnel. But with a cutting edge we could be very good. Do

Thought we played as well as we could expect to really.

We kept it tight, held our own in the arm wrestle and were undone by mistakes of our own making (and a frankly bafflingly anal descision from Kendall) but all in all, happy we showed the right attitude and fight.

Very impressed with young Gannon again.

Walters tried hard tonight. Feel a bit sorry for Broadbent as he’s not really a fullback but he’s pretty good under those high balls. Thought Donaldson was terrific in D again. Both Briscoes much better this week.

Still see a side which will be better for another years development.

Broadbent was a bit naive getting pushed back for a drop out. His line was wrong and he didn't get low enough.
