As much as I hate what we do to ourselves, we just need to back our team at the minute. Agar is going anywhere but that is a huge problem we need a coach to inspire, get the best out of them and realise that they are lucky to have such a job. The ref made a lot of mistakes yesterday, for both sides but quite crucial ones for us, we can’t blame him. We made a lot of errors and some bad reads and let’s not forget, Hull played well and wanted this win, Redford hates losing against Leeds. People slagging of players like Hurrell, he has made some bad calls yes but it was never going to be quick fix. We just need to get through this season, stay up obviously and then go to town. Personally on this break now, I wouldn’t let them have time off, only maybe a long weekend. They would in digging out at training getting the basics right.

Konrad was a mega thorn in our side yesterday, all action devastation in attack, yes he makes the odd fek up, but who doesn’t, outstanding entertainment, Leeds relegated, no chance.

To be fair to hurrell Hull's first try was scored through a limp-lettuce tackle attempt inside him whilst he was marking up. That would have made him look inside the rest of the game.

The worst try we let in was through Newman's awful grab and miss. Dreadful technique and nothing to do with age - if he'd bent his back that would not have been scored.

To be fair to Newman he learned and looked a lot more solid after that and even smashed the same guy (I think it was the same guy) later in that half.

RE Hurrell I'm getting the sense he's going to be the new scapegoat target around here - I've seen it creeping in.

The problem is its error after error. The whole team us just too slack too often and we're running out of games for people to sort themselves out.

This is what I mean about mental weakness, they’re just not concentrating for long enough to be effective. We seem to switch off regularly, resulting in simple errors, and that then gets compounded when we get frustrated and give penalties away, leading to more defence, more errors and getting gassed.

We must stop turning the ball over so cheaply, and that’s about concentrating more. If we don’t then we could easily be in the mix on the final weekend when we play Warrington...

We'r second in the league in errors made and second in the league in penaltys conceded, backs up what we'r seeing on the field, pretty unintelligent team with a poor mindset....Concentration, Focus, composure all lacking.

The rest of our stats are actually pretty impressive for a team in our position.

Newmans defense is atrocious, he is costing us fames, he may be one fir the furute but he is looking poor at the moment, i would move Handley to centre and luke briscoe on the wing for next few games, or give alex sutcliffe a go

Hull fan in peace, I thought the game was as expected a close and tense game as to be expected with your need for wins and our need to find consistency in performance. Thought we were controlling the game up until the Ash Handley intercept (if he'd missed it we were in and game over) then you got the momentum and we seemed to lose our left hand sliding defence and you capitalised to go ahead. Another poor error from you again lead to us scoring and ultimately getting the hard fought win.

I think we were ok but helped to the win by a combination of your errors and daft penalties at crucial times and areas of the field.

Hurrell was a handful and caused us problems with the numbers he sucked in to defend, he reminds me of Fonua, great going forward though makes mistakes but positives outweigh the negatives.

Think your biggest issue is Agar to be honest as you have inherited the same issue we had under his tenure as coach that once your in the opposition 20 there doesn't seem to be any real genuine threat or structure to your to unlock the defensive line. Plus our discipline under Agar was also pretty dire and dumb.

Think Wakey are in big trouble with regards relegation along with Rovers and possibly yourselves, whilst London are in the mix the pressure to an extent is not on them as they've been expected to be dead certs for the drop before the season kicked off.

Our stats for yesterday were also on paper better than Hull FC's, its clear that ill discipline and errors are costing us big time.

Newman is learning on the job in one of the most difficult positions to defend, the miss was poor yesterday but he backed it up with a great piece of defending when he rushed up but ut a real good shot on halting hulls momentum.

Suggesting putting either wingers or another young kid in to fix the problem is daft IMO

I personally would be keeping the same team for this weeks trip to Huddersfield, we didn't miss Myler at all but they'll no doubt bring him back in now his one match is over icon_sad.gif

I said during the game and posted at the time on here that we needed to get Dwyer back off the sodding pitch. I said it because he was costing us with his defence, just as he had the week before. How anyone can actually watch that game yesterday and say he had a good game, defies belief. The 9 missed tackles he had as a sub hooker, something I have never seen before from an hooker, backed up the very view I had at the game. What Agar was doing keeping him on I do not know. The energy lost for the team whilst covering those gaps was significant.

Fair assessment.

Again to be fair to Agar, the team are dropping the ball and doing various stupid things consistently. He isn’t asking them to do those things.

Leeds haven’t looked good in the opposition’s 20 very often for as long as I can remember - but we used to have the pace and team play to score from distance.

It is quite interesting to hear Agar’s language change a bit since he took over. As with Furner, they can’t hide the frustrations they have with some players.

He is missing a couple of them a game and it’s conceding tries he needs taking out if the firing line on the run in, it will destroy him if he costs us a game that gets us relegated. He us still young and has had a good run, put him on the shelf till we are safe.
