| 19s lost 24-0 at Wigan last in a very physical game with big forwards on both sides.
Tommy Holroyd suffered a knee injury in his 1st game back which is a concern but he was walking on it at the end.
Leeds was very one out and for last 15 mins reverted to chip kicks which none came off.
Alex Sutcliffe was outstanding in defence and Jack Broadbent a real handful in attack but the halves aren't good enough in 19s unfortunately.
Fair play to Wigan they was the better team on the night.

| I watched the game on Wigan TV and I thought it was pretty even but the Wigan halves were much better and in the end that was the difference.
Holroyd's knee was already heavily strapped, he made one strong hit up and burst through the first line of defence but limped off straight after that.

| The scoreline didn't really represent the game, it was tough and uncompromising, two late tries from Havard and Kibula clinched it. for Wigan.
I thought the Leeds fullback was your standout player.
Both sides defended really well though.

Just by way of comparison, we had Thomas Minns at Fev on a year's loan from you when he was 20-21 and he wasn't anything like the threat Newman already is at 18.

Jack Broadbent looks to have the skills and a fair turn of speed too with nice angled runs.

| He's a good centre Juan. Probably lacks out and out speed but a very talented player. Newman has the speed and footwork but probably isn't as good a centre as Broadbent. Combine the 2 and you've a world beater. Two very good young players though who are still developing.

Featherstone have announced the signing of Kiedan Hartley for the 2019 season. Suspect this and the Whylie signings are underpinned by an agreement that if they progress significantly Leeds will have the option to re-sign them. Fev fans were told at a fans' forum that that was always the case with Luke Briscoe, though it doesn't appear reading through this thread as if Kiedan was one of the standouts from the Rhinos' U19s, whilst from what I've seen Dakota Whylie (though he has played well for Fev) doesn't have the obvious promise of being a future SL talent as Harry Newman.

| Kiedan is very quick and has great footwork but isn't the biggest lad. He has talent and should do ok at Championship level if his attitude is good.

I'm at the game and Leeds pack is absolutely dominating. 28-2 up at HT. Harry Newman 80 yard try. Great half from Leeds.

| The pack was terrific tonight led by Mikolaj and on the back of that Corey Johnson was absolutely superb. Forwards like Muizz, Holroyd, Dupree, Sutcliffe,McConnell, Trout and Darley really took it to Saints and dominated particularly in the 1st half going in 28-2 up.
Newman try came straight from a kick off fully 80m and beating the full back for sheer pace on the outside. He has terrific ability at this level.
Corey Johnson tho the star for me playing at 9. Terrific young prospect. Love watching him play. His dummy half play continues to develop, he's strong and a good football brain. His time in first team will come.
Mikolaj powered over for 2 tries.
I watch a lot of 19s home and away and I'm really pleased for Rob Burrow and his staff.
I will say tho Saints made a lot of errors tonight and Wigan certainly won't do that in the final if they get past Huddersfield. The size of the Wigan pack led by Sammy Kibula will be a different prospect in the final.
