| The performance last night was even worse than the one against Wakefield. For any neutrals watching us last night they might have been forgiven for thinking we were the relegated side. Both teams pish poor in the first half with Bradford edging it in the he second as they had more desire to win obviously whilst we even with a load of players missing had no idea how to break down a championship defence. Burrow and McGuire were out thought, outplayed and outclassed by their opponents. Singleton and Kylie did ok first half, JJB and Hardaker kept trying all game but the rest were appalling. Put Handley on the wing for Briscoe next week he was totally tosh. Yes we had a weakened team but the way some posters on here have been saying our half backs should have won the game on their own even with the rest of the Academy out there playing.
Both have been immense but if we continue to stick with McGuire next year it will be a disaster. I would swap both of them for a decent quality half back.
Kirke dropped the ball two or three times missed tackles and made about ten metres all night, get rid.
Why did we have two players Briscoe and Ward on the bench with Burrow and Aiton on the pitch.
Even I could see we were too light.
Do we practice any moves in training or do we rely on kicks to the corner or 60 metre tries?
I have yet to see any flowing moves this season and not scoring a try against a 12 man Bradford with about 60% of the ball in their half is a disgrace.
It's Bradford we are playing not fecking Brisbane.
Is it poor coaching or are we really that bad?
Well done Bradford you deserved the win with your enthusiasm alone.
Roll on next week when we can forget all this and get to Wembley again

I take it your not answering the question is an admission that you cannot recall an instance of Hardaker controlling a game?
Zac is effective because he is the extra man in the line he would not be as effective if he were the man sending the passes
Danny might be slow but one is for sure he can't be any worse at conversions than Zac

Among the many failings last night one of the most obvious ones was choosing Hardaker, who is not a very good placekicker, instead of Burrow, who has always been decent when filling in before, to kick the goals.

| I believe that we should persevere with Zak whom I think the club see as the successor long-term to Sinfield.
His previous record was quite decent & none of last night's misses were gimmes.
It does show however, that he needs to practise & work on it even more than previously.
Both sides score 3 tries so who knows what the outcome would have been had he kicked the two he missed?

| It's also worth remembering that Sinfield wasn't that great a kicker when he took over kicking duties. Hardaker needs to work on it but he'll improve

| Or maybe Sutcliffe could practice his kicking.

| Gosh, I hope the result next week makes that worthwhile.
Nobody from the fringe took their opportunity to play themselves into the team for next week. A few should have played themselves out of it, but likely won't.
After that, I will focus on the negatives. Briscoe (T) is lucky that BJB got injured. He was awful. Aiton's passing from dummy half was shocking, worst I've seen in some time. Runners had to stop, reach back etc. Kirke and Achruch were awful and shouldn't feature next week, but likely will. McGuire was as he has been most of the season (not very good) and Burrow didn't take on the line enough.
Consign it, forget it and hope the decent players come back and contribute next week.

| Does anyone know the completion stats from the game? I'd be amazed if they reached double figures for Leeds.

| Interesting to think the Coach thought McGuire and Burrow played their nuts off last night.
Fook me if they have an average performance he will be suggesting they become the next England half back pairing and we name a stand after them.

I can only recall McGuire attempting one place kick for Leeds at 1st grade level and it was just to the right of the posts ...... he missed.
He has kicked the odd goal at International level though despite never kicking a two pointer for his club side so he'd have a chance.

| The following all could have played their way out of a semi appearance:
Tom Briscoe - on an awful run of form
Ian Kirke - got spannered, spilt the ball a couple of times and hid and was blowing like he'd put in the shift of all shifts. The end is nigh.
Achurch - despite a well taken try was woeful. When the pressure mounted at the end he dropped some tragic ball.
Paul Aiton - 'Mr 2 Steps and pass', not effective in the 'loose' position either. Just slide Burrow back into hooking role.
Danny McGuire - Mr Dropsy
(Away from those JJB put in a shift, think he also played 80 minutes BUT those 2 ridiculous penalties were criminal especially the one that gifted them 2 points.)

Agreed, my main disappointment was the young lads/fringe players not busting a gut to get a place in the semi and also the fact that not one single player backed up any of the breaks from Walters, Singleton or Burrow.
Our next generation were out-enthused by a poor bradford side, despite having a poor night with the ball I think we would have ground out the result a few years ago.
It can only get better and saturday will be very tough without a massive improvement

Hardaker looks as though he just doesn't practice his kicking. His technique also looks wrong.
