I had a decent classic Irish beef burger plus two beef and red wine mini pasties at O'Neill's in Leeds today which was at a good price too. You see I'm not all sy fancy pants restaurants.

Has anyone been to Design House Restaurant in Halifax? I'll be having a six course meal there when my mate books us all in.

Slightly better than Nandos, you get the impression in a TGI's that someone may have actually prepared most of the meal that you're eating even if they had to follow posters on the wall to do it, rather than simply have a chimp put it in a microwave.

If anyone is out ilkley way avoid the pub on the bypass like the plague. Think it was called general pioneer. We were out for the day with the kids called in on the way home and we were served with two lasangne that made a findus frozen one looks gormet

Is it the Generous Pioneer? I've been there before and thought it was ok although that was a few years back.

That's the one. We went a couple of years ago and liked it hence why we went back but this time it was very poor

Just had a takeaway from Zouk which I wouldn't recommend to anyone. The portions were tiny and they delivered the wrong stuff.

Yesterday afternoon I went to Giraffe in the Trinity . I had a burger which was alright but I'll definitely be going to TGI's in future for my burgers.

Are you now in gainful employment?
If not how on earth can you afford to eat out or buy takeaways on such a regular basis?
If you're not working you must have tons of time on your hands, why not use your time to cook at home?
It's cheaper, better for you - you know exactly what you're eating - & gives you something to do.
Who knows it may even lead to a career for you?

Unfortunately I'm not in gainful employment atm but I have stuff going on.

I'd rather spend time reading (which I unhealthily do too much of) than cook. I cooked Christmas dinner for friends last year and I've also served BBQ food.

Unfortunately he's a poster boy for benefit bashing Tories. He is exactly the kind of individual they use to pull the wool over our eyes and rape the genuinely needy and deserving. It's hard to suppress my base instincts when I look at the tax on my pay packet and think about Damo. I try not to become Daily Mail reading Tory Boy but as I age it's getting harder and harder not to.

After all, and I know this is rich coming from me, but it's not like Damo would suffer from skipping a meal or two.
