Isn't it a little ironic that the player with the last expiring contract at the club, doesn't actually play for us at the moment? Plenty of decent talented youth signed up for a few years yet. There will be some turnover in the next two years, but as long as we manage it properly we are well set for years to come.

Also looks likely we're going to see major activity in the front row stakes over the next year or so. Ambler/Amor etc have potential, but given the ages (and lets be honest performances) of some of our other forwards, you'd have to think we'll be in the market for more forwards, with some leaving as well.

You would think so since this is an area (prop forward) where we don't seem to have any academy players really coming through.

It makes perfect sense to me. It would be more ironic if a player who only had this year left on his contract wasn't playing for us at the moment.

The Wire fans were bad enough last year when he was contracted! If he's out of contract at the end of the season they'll practically be getting his shirts printed!

I can't imagine Sinfield would be going anywhere and I can't imagine the club doesn't have a post playing career path already mapped out.

Besides which he finally surpasses the all-time Leeds point scoring record sometime towards the back end of 2012 (all being well - as I've been predicting for the last two years - back when Lord Percy was a regular on here) so he's going nowhere.

Any chance you could give us the stats on all-time point scoring? What's the table like at the minute, how many points does Sinfield average per match, and thus how many matches is he away (stat estimate wise!).

At the start of the season Kevin Sinfield was 397 points shy of equalling the points record of Lewis Jones which stands at 2,920.

Taking the last 8 seasons (those since Sinfield became the recognised 1st choice kicker) he's been amassing an average of 283 points a year.

The record in all probability goes sometime 2012. Exactly when we'll have to wait and see.

So "statistically speaking" he'd need 1.4028268 seasons.

0.4028268 of a 27 week season is 10.876323 games in.

0.876323 of a 80 minute game is 70.10584 minutes.

0.10584 of a 60 second minute is 6.3504 seconds.

So we're looking at Next Season, Round 10, with 70:06 on the clock.
