Naylors coming back from a big injury and we don't know how that's gonna go,rui and kisnorbo get call ups for their countries that leaves bromby,lubo and hunts.
I think when fit he's better than lubo so even though at this moment in time he's 6th choice it's not unlikely that he'll be needed.

I would be very surprised if he every played for Leeds again.

Then i think it could come back to bite us.
He's only 21 and i think we'll be lucky to get any more than 2/3yrs max out of naylor and i don't think lubo is good enough which leaves us with rui,kisnorbo and bromby which is light imo !!

Tough game at Southend this evenin, not lookin forward to the drive, but should be a good 3 points to keep the run goin.

We will sign other players to replace these, particularly if we get promoted. I had high hopes of him when he first signed but just doesn't seem to have developed, if anything he has gone backwards. I know he is only young but no manager of late has had enough confidence in him to give him a run.

We owe them one really - it is a dismal place and our record is not good there.

I fancy us for a 2-0 victory tonight which will make the long drive home a lot more bearable.

Higgs has just saved a penalty by Lee Barnard after Bromby brought him down, that's 3 penalties we've gave away this season. Still 0-0, hopefully we can nick it at the death.

Not many goals conceded from open play though (tempting fate....).

Just got back, dissapointed not to have won, but it was a scrappy game and really either team could have nicked it - Beckford missed a sitter on about 85 and had a stonewall penalty turned down by the ref.

All in all though a decent enough performance, and there won't be many teams who take all 3 points down there this season, well drilled outfit and the fans are right on top of the pitch so atmosphere was great. Also managed to keep the unbeaten run going and another clean sheet is always good.

The only concerns to be raised really are 1) we look sometimes too reliant on kicking the ball long at Beckford and hoping he makes something happen and b) the need for proper cover at left back, as hughes (whilst a good utility man) I feel looks out of sorts in that position.

So a good day and like I say, a point at Roots hall is not to be sniffed at.
