| Quote: Sir Gregory Parsloe "Started with the thermostat at hot and gradually turned it down to stone cold.
Very composed at the start but thought we almost started trying to close the game down after 20 minutes. Austin kicking early in the tackle count when we had a 7 tackle set was particularly bizarre to me. Agree with others, Sezer injected momentum. As the game went on we got more static and line speed in attack and defence slowed significantly.
Important win but plenty to work on.
Not a great view in the rain and with not the best floodlights, but the Leeming one looked fine to me, what did Smith do?'"
Helped bring a player to ground in a tackle by wrapping both his legs around the players lower legs

| Quote: Seth "That Leeming one's a step too far for the game in my opinion in terms of if it receives a ban. He's hit and wrapped his upper chest and the tackled players head comes down with the impact. Fusitu’a was dumb with how those decisions are going.'"
Jake Connor got a red card at Wakefield and a one match ban, for making contact lower down the chest than Leeming’s hit. I’d be surprised if he didn’t get a ban for that.

It was Jowitt.

He didnt at all. His right leg and foot was planted at all times. He held the Wakey player around the chest, leaned back and weighted him to ground, his left leg going under the player. Not even sure why it went on report. It wasnt dangerous, or a hip-drop. It was just unfortunate. And if it attracts a ban its ridiculous.

| I think we played more as a team tonight. Certainly in the 1st half. We looked sharp at times with plenty of ball movement and a decent kicking game. Walker and Newman was big positives for me.
That said, i think Wakey put big efforts in against Saints and Catalans and couldnt repeat it tonight. That happens, it happened to us at Wigan after the Warrington effort. Wakey lacked intensity in that 1st half and we was ready to play tonight.
We needed a win and got it sealed after 25 mins tonight which was pleasing. Some of the tries was excellent tonight.
The 2nd half was patchy but with a 30-0 lead that can happen. The game was over.
Weve a lot to work on still but tonight was a step on the right path. Id like to see us offload in the tackle. Its not something we do.
Its one win, we need to back that up with wins v Hull and Salford in the next 2.

Be a real shame if so cos he was looking good for 1st game back and is badly needed. Fingers crossed he isnt too bad.

| A good win (great first half) all in all but yet more injuries and bans incoming.. frustrating. Hoping Newman is ok as he looked superb again. Great to see Walker getting back to something like, he’s reminded us of what he’s capable of last night imo and will get better

The rugby we played in the first half on a glue pot pitch on another absolutely filthy night was very pleasing. Will have our challenges with suspension and injury next week, but on a positive note that may give the likes of Johnson and Broadbent a chance. Are Hull on a four day turn around? If so, big advantage to Leeds.

I was answering why he got put on report for. Ref/Vr obviously had their concerns about the tackle and want the disciplinary to look at it to decide what did/didn’t happen

| A win's nice and the execution and completion in that first half were pleasing. Then again, with the space and time we had that was almost a practice run out. It's 100% nailed on that Hull can't have failed to notice how our attack stalled once wakey sorted out their defensive width better. Quite what else can be learned, I'm not sure.

| Look forward to holroyd getting back and starting him and Tet on the bench to offer something when roatation happens as we lack any impact from the bench in the forwards

| I'm not buying the Newman 'dead leg' story
Watching the game back last night he seemed to pull up before Fifita hit him and could clearly be seen to mouth 'hammy gone' when on the bench, hope Im wrong because I thought he was a class above whilst he was on.
Mixed bag for Fusitua, he took his try well and ran hard but seemed to have few lapses in concentration in defence and his shoulder charge was just silly, to be fair to him it will take him a while to get back up to speed I think.
Was really nice to see Walker back to something like.
Mik was outstanding.
As Ive eluded to before, I really can't wait for some better weather, its no good for anyone, we have haven't played a game without wind, rain or snow yet.
I think Sezer and Austin will start to come good, I like the mix they have, that bomb that wakes dropped was a belter.
