In the Super League Era, I count the total number of major trophies (Super League Champions (Pre-98 and GF winners), League Leaders (03-Present), Premiership, Challenge Cup, World Club Challenge.
St Helens - 18
Leeds - 12
Bradford - 10
Wigan - 8
For anyone who wants to debate the whole Premiership being counted as a major trophy, IMO it's equivalent with the league leaders' shield. Also, including League Leaders from 98-2002 has no effect on the rankings, as Wigan & Bradford each topped the table twice and St Helens did once in that period.
In terms of overall trophies, Bradford & Wigan are both closer to you than you are to St Helens.

Agreed. Cannot see why people (from all clubs) are obsessed with peeing contests about who has won more. As above from watching some dire times over the last few decades I am enjoying what we have achieved and not really bothered about how much more or less we have won.
Sport is cyclical to an exstent but hopefully when we do fall it's not too far down as Bradford did

Cut and pasted from the Guardian comments on the Exiles gamethe best player this country has ever produced, especially of this generation in Sam Tomkins. Also add to that, to the general public they play the slickest and best brand of Rugby to watch. And yeah you're right it makes perfect sense to have had the Rhinos on SKY 3X more than Wigan.
If the guy who is in charge of this in SKY isn't a Rhinos fan then I'll eat my hat. It's a joke!"

This guy has answered his own questions; why would SKY want to put on matches that involve one sided drubbings (which is part of the reason why Mr Tomkins has a platform to shine), when they're after competitive down-to-the-wire nail biters? That's simply because you can't post anything slightly controversial and without going over board too on the Wigan forum without getting banned, It really is a no go zone at times to post anything when Wigan lose a big game such is the zealousness of some of your tetchy mods
Personally speaking i love all this rivalry and banter between our 2 clubs fans but if you wish to provoke any responses from us Rhinos fans you'll have to come over here to do it I'm afraid |
