| Quote: El Pac Carnegie "It's quite pathetic to claim that Leeds can only win with the help of officials.'"
I agree. Despite the help of the officials last night, you lost.
Anyway, if one team deserves the title of cheaters, it's Saints, not Leeds. Broken the salary cap more than any other team, get away with more foul play than any other team, and having just watched tonight's match, nothing has changed. Near the end, Cunningham throws a cheap punch to the head of a tackled player. Referee either doesn't see it or ignores it.
Wigan may be the most penalised team, but it's for technical offences, which isn't cheating, especially since we're not getting away with it. When it comes to misconduct, we've got joint second fewest penalties against us.
Whilst the Ablett challenge was a bad one, and I think anyone with two brain cells to rub together can see it, I don't see Leeds as being a particularly dirty team. However last night's performance probably will be regarded as one of Leeds' most notorious. Same as the match with Newton's double whammy against Stains will be known as Wigan's most notorious for a long time.
No team's spotless, and to Leeds' credit, their record with the salary cap is to be proud of. Teams like Melbourne and Stains, who have repeatedly broken the cap to win trophies have nothing to be proud of.

| Quote: El Pac Carnegie "I've said he should be banned in another thread. I don't think it's the out and out assault Wigan fans are making it out to be but it was a bad challenge and it is worthy of a ban. I just find it quite sad how bitter other teams fans are of Leeds success.
I remember when we won our first we were getting congratulated now we only ever do anything because officials have apparently carried us to 3 titles on the trot and, apparently, throughout this season as well. If we do have the refs in our back pockets why was Wigan's 2nd try last night allowed when Sinfield was interfered with on his way to attempting to stop the try? Watch it he gets there late and he was interfered with, not by much but it was there.
Leeds won the last 3 titles because they were the best team in the competition and nothing else. The same as this years winners will win it because they are the best team in the competition. It's quite pathetic to claim that Leeds can only win with the help of officials.'"
I aint bitter of your success and I havent ever mentioned anything about you only winning because of the refs, so have no idea what the hell you are talking about. All ive mentioned is that Ablett should have been sent off and that he should get a decent ban which I doubt he will get. Your coment about the 2nd Wigan try is quite pathetic, get over it, I have never said we dont have our fair share of bad play and penalties. For a start I agreed with Coley being sent off and his 2 game ban, and that was nothing like Abletts cheapshot.

Yup.

| Strange that even with all this alleged help from the referee Leeds still managed to lose the penalty count 9 to 3 in the second half and 13-10 overall.
No-one else see the Goulding knock on prior to the Gleeson score?

That's not bourne out by the quantity of Championship points they have had deducted. They would be equal third on that list behind Bradford in second and Wigan clear of them both in first.

Bearing in mind of course the heavy deduction for not breaking the cap but breaking the "spirit" of the cap, whatever that is. As Brian Noble said at the time, seeing as we've been penalised for breaking the cap, can we spend the money that we supposedly broke the cap with?
Thanks for proving the point that Saints get away with more than any other team, too.

I do not support either leeds or wigan but leeds were a disgrace last night, no wonder our game is a laughing stock when youve got idiots like ganson in the middle, he was a disgrace and I felt as a neutral he was determined that leeds were going to get ascore by half time, ref and two ledds players a total disgrace to the game.'"
I know facts are as welcome to you as a salary cap investigation or a Grand Final appearance against a decent team but hey ho I'll provide a couple anyway.
1. Coley wasn't sinbinned for foul play, he was sinbinned for persistant fouling following the warning given to Wigan earlier in the game.
2.
# of penalties conceded from 2006-2010
Ryan Bailey - 72
Stuart Fielden - 80
Sean O'Loughlin - 97
Andy Coley - 116
# of cards received from 2006 - 2010
Ryan Bailey - 1 yellow
Stuart Fielden - 2 yellow
Joel Tomkins - 2 yellow
Gareth Hock - 3 yellow & 1 red
Andy Coley - 4 yellow & 1 red
Remind me? Who's this thug again?

Where have I done that?
Appears here that you are critisizing a club that has been deducted 2 points for salary cap breaches when your own club (I presume) have been docked 6 points?
I'd leave the righteous indignation to those supporters who follow a club who have never strayed.
Well done to Ian Lenagan for sorting the Wigan shambles out and guess what he's got a decent team in doing so.

Well why else would you get these ludicrous ideas in your head? Or do you just have a general hatred of Leeds? Claiming that Leeds bribe the RFL is quite a serious accusation to make purely on the basis of one call by Ganson.
My comment about the 2nd try is to show that Mr Ganson made errors both ways, as hard as that may be for you to believe. Sinfield was interfered with and it was a very important try. Ganson generally had a poor game for BOTH teams.

Of course! How stupid of me. I've got to say though, Gary Hetherington deserves a lot of credit. To run 2 professional sports clubs, a sports governing body and its disciplinary procedures at the same time is impressive.
Thats obviously why the Rhinos haven't done as well this year, Hetherington just doesn't devote the same amount time to us than he used to.

| If you think Wigan fans are making more out of Abletts challenge than is warrented ,then you should have listened to the phone in on Radio Manchester not long ago. Fans from all over the place were ringing in about it, and if Ablett doesnt get banned then I think it will call for an inquiry, although R Man think that Bailey can expect a longer ban.

| Wow – this thread is still attracting muppets by the bucket full - Bradford, Hull, Rovers, Saints, Wakefield and of course Wigan fans all ‘outraged’ at this incident.
Maybe Rugby is a little too rough for some of these precious little soles – how about badminton? I can’t ever remember anyone getting hurt in badminton.
