| Quote: Brodie123 "The whole situation is becoming unbearable. It shows that the player management have absolutely no idea on how they can get us out of this mess. It is becoming a matter of urgency in trying to get the this team to perform, unfortunately the wise men have not got a clue, beggars belief what we are hearing, the only thing I can suggest is this must be some kind of wind up as surely this cannot have happened.
It seems we have to go with this lot until the end of the season, we need to get them playing as a team, surely their pay packet is enough motivation to get them playing, if it isn't then we are in deep poop. I think we are officially the laughing stock of SL.
The only way forward out of this is to move on, forget the past, start again and work as a team, round pegs in round holes, play the players in their right position, any player who is not interested drop him and take away the shirt from him. The coach must know the players who are causing trouble, we may not be able to get rid of them due to their contracts but we can sure keep them away from the club.'"
Agree that it’s pretty easy to weed out the miscreants but you have to really want to do it. There is also the problem that it appears that there simply isn’t the quality there that can do a decent job whether the miscreants are in the side or not. I suppose you need to send a message though and that would do it.
To me the lack of proper attitude looks pretty systemic across the team and sending a few bad apples on loan won’t solve things overnight. The plan to bring McGuire back shows that Sinfield thinks the current halfback options aren’t good enough. I’m not sure how loaning out Lolohea would improve the side unless he’s a bad influence off the pitch. He may be blameless. He stands out because he’s a bit chubby but he was no worse than Sutcliffe or McClelland really.
The knock backs from clubs for Connor and McGuire are hardly a vote on confidence in the current halves. I expect Lolohea will be gone at the end of the year, paid off. He was after all a McDermott signing and takes up a Non Fed place. McClelland may become a decent player but bringing him into a side in crisis isn’t perhaps the best way to develop him. It reminds me of when Wigan tried to bring through the likes of Brown and Robinson into a side on the slide in 2005-6.
Signing McGuire might have sorted the attack out a bit but it would’ve been very short term. Who’s the next target?

| Apparently part of the deal was McGuire became part of the coaching set up next year, HKR have offered him something similar.
I thought McGuire was finished in 2016, but he was playing busted and failed to score a try all season. He showed his toughness and quality in 2017 and leading an average side to the title. He is a real competitor and would give us the steer we need as well as great self confidence he would add it to the team.
Short term it makes sense, it’s desperate but makes sense, the guy is a special player and would lead.

| Agree with Bullseye, it feels very like Wigan 2005ish when they were getting stuffed and struggled to stay clear of relegation.
It took Wigan another 3 or 4 years to really be a threat again.

| Quote: christopher "I agree Gotcha, embarrassed is the correct word, no disrespect to Bradford as they played with heart and pride but to lose to a team with part time players playing, when we were in the lead was pathetic, I wasn't even angry jus embarrassed, and it isn't me or any other fan that should feel that way, I just hope the players feel worse.
Now Thursday is a big big game for us, if they don't respond to that showing then they should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves, they are paid (in some cases very well) to play Rugby League, I don't mind losing (well not to a decent SL side) but I do mind professional players seemingly not giving a poop, it's disrespectful to a very loyal fan base. I am no glory hunter, I am quite happy to go seasons without winning anything, but I expect at least effort and desire as the bare minimum.
Blame Sinfield, blame Furner, blame Hetherington or blame Agar fans can blame who they like but for me the players have to take the lions share of responsibility as it is them out on the field missing the tackles with poor technique and throwing stupid passes and knocking on and just playing dumb in every aspect of the game.
Agree with all you say. I remember watching us ( Kr ) get relegated by Salford. I sat there and what a Joke, the players And the club deserve that for the crap that has been played today but not the loyal fans. Our fans backed the club with season passes to get us back up, IF, we go down again I cant see that same loyalty being repeated.
Monday morning rant over.'"

| Pretty sad if true.
And a real slap in the face to McGuire's successor and the marquee half we have just brought in.

Which Marquee half? If you mean Tui, he isn’t a marquee player neither is he a halfback.
I would hope that he should take it that he has to buck his ideas up if the management think a 36 year old past player is better than him (which he is bu a mile)

Well he signed as a half for us pretty sure hence the 6 on his back and us already having 2 full backs at the club. If not marquee he will be on big money i'm sure.

My point still stands, it’s Tui that should be embarrassed that we are looking at signing a nearly retired 36 year old because he’s not performing
The club put a lot of faith in him giving him his so called dream position in the team and he’s not even begun to repay any of that

2 years ago I’d have jollily laughed along at the implausibility of that.
Now I’m worried it’s something we’ll actually do..

| Thing is, we’ve gone back for McGuire because it’s a known risk and we know what he’s about.
It’s a signal that we’ve completely pooped the bed in the recruitment team and are now panicking for something to ease the fans frustrations, thing is, we tried that with Sinfield last year and we didn’t improve.
This team needs breaking apart and salvaging what we can, there’s no point constantly harking back to the class of 2015, that team was loaded with leaders and it shows just how good they actually were. We are fumbling around AGAIN mid season for squad deficiencies, shopping in Poundland, why on earth are we so poor at identifying and landing quality?
