| Quote: rhino phil "its hardly surprising he hasnt made an impression, his form this year has been dire, hes been a long way from the man of steel player of last year in both attack and defence. He should have stayed this year and then moved in the close season. Im guessing his agent was getting worried that his poor form would permanently kill off any chance at a shot in the NRL and the money that would bag them both,'"
If Jordan Turner can get a gig a top 8 NRL club, then there is hope for most SL players
I see what you mean though, he probably won't get the big money deal down there now.

Turner will be in reserve grade like Sarginson.

| Where ever he ends up, I wish hime well and hope he doesn't end up being remembered as another player that wasted his talent. This season he's been a pale shadow of the player that won MoS. What ever the issues have been, the solution is in his hands, blaming the Leeds club his GF or the whatever doesn't change the fact that he's a professional sportsman and has to take responsibility for his own actions and career.
With the right attitude and showing maturity and better judgement, I'd love to see him back at Leeds.

High quality delusion there I'm afraid.
Hardaker on his form from last year would have had a chance. The 2016 Hardaker wouldn't walk into any side in the NRL, let alone most of them. He was hardly in the top half dozen full-backs in SL before he left.
He's got no options now other than to come back to Leeds with his tail between his legs. There isn't an NRL club will be prepared to meet Leeds's valuation for a player not even guaranteed to make it into first grade. Leeds won't want to sell him to another SL club

Leeds may not want to sell him, but ultimately the decision will be down to Zak whether he comes back.He may want a fresh start;I seem to remember that we had first dabs on a returning Mr Harris after he went to yawnion, but that did not materialize and the Leeds club benefited thankfully. He may just move on for a nominal fee

| Can't compare it to the Harris situation. Zak is only on loan, and like others have said it looks like he may well be back with us. The only NRL sides I can see maybe being interested are the Knights and the Titans.

This is the truth of it. His stock has gone down and IF Zak is not interested in playing for Leeds again GH will be left with a high salary earner doing nothing. No club is going to pay that fee knowing the situation so he will more than likely just be released from his contract.

You can if Zak doesn't want to come back. Harris did not want to come back also. TBH I would like him to come back because I think being exposed to NRL defensive drills and patterns he will probably come back an improved player. But that's without knowing the facts why he left in the first place.

| I don't think it's a case of him not being interested in playing for Leeds. If the NRL is a no go then I think we'd be the first club he wants to play for in SL. He's obviously been tempted by the bright lights of the NRL and used some off field issue to help make it happen.
But bored of his Jeremy Kyle personal life and it doesn't help Leeds. If he's coming back to Leeds he'll obviously get the FB shirt and Sutcliffe reverts back to the halves, if not then we give it to Sutcliffe and we need to find more cover for the halves.
It's like the problem child in a class carrying on that causes all the attention to be focused on him and the rest of the class suffers as a consequence.......still it won't be the fault of Zak 'Ballotelli' Hardaker we'll hear.

| I read an quote from Hardaker saying if it doesn't work out in the NRL this season then he'll be back at Leeds.
In hindsight he has gone at the worst possible time. His personal life in disarray, and his form, and confidence totally shot.

| I think Hardaker will be back at Leeds in 2017. Which will make an interesting and tough decision to make re Sutcliffe as he's looked good at full back.

And also probably spells the end of Ashton Golding's Leeds career.

| Personally never thought Golding would make it as a fullback anyway, there seems to have been another change recently back to bigger stronger fullbacks, who still posses a passing game.
He could maybe make it in the halves, as I believe he played junior rugby there, but that imo would take time and a full season in that position at least to learn. Didn't he sign a new deal recently?

| Just trying to get my head around this issue.
So Zak comes back and assumes he can walk back into the team.
If we want him back the only issue is the salary cap if we have committed elsewhere, on the assumption he has gone.
If, as I would imagine, we do not want his disruptive presence around, I guess that would be very expensive. Presumably we would have to pay him his basic contractual remuneration even though we did not register him as a player.
I gather his father has gone out with him to Aus to keep an eye on / mentor him. Perhaps this arrangement should continue if he returns.
I am just so appalled at the waste of a very talented rugby player who, with a little more application, could have been even better.
Perhaps the best solution is for Leeds to write off the transfer fee and hope he finds something in Aus and more importantly someone who can impress on him how to be professional.
