Away from Hall's try. what about his attitude in going damage limitions for the percival try?
He drove and bust it up from the tap, got the ball stolen (fairly), Wilkin cleverly drew the play right to Hall's empty wing and Percvial strolled in. But Hall tracked back like hell to make sure he was left in the corner not strolling under posts. if he had done they'd have gone 2 scores up (due to an easy kick, thankfully Walsh missed the touchliner) and the outcome may have been different.
Positive try scores get the headlines but it's the stuff that's a little harder to notice that make the difference ultimately.

Great observation. Compare with McGuire's poor reaction to the ball steal, waving his arms at the ref rather than trying to effect a tackle. |

Ironically, had Garbutt not made so much of a do or die effort to track back then Hardaker would have had an outside chance of getting to Percival and preventing the try being scored at all. |

Not to be a d1ck, because I am supporting Leeds and sitting in your end at the Grand Final, but this is the point at which Hall loses the ball if we're looking at it objectively. Like I said, I'm not disputing that it's a try under the current interpretation, but to suggest he never actually loses control is absurd. There is separation between the ball and Halls fingertips here - if you can't see it, drag it into a new tab. He scores with his arm hairs.

It is at best against the lower end of his wrist, more his forearm though.
