With the South Stand closed I've decided to have a change of scenery in the North Stand, Block C, Row E.'"
If you've never been in the North Stand before don't be surprised by the all the equipment built into your seat.
The pillow is for your mid-half nap.
There's a complimentary flat cap.
The plastic bag and tube is for you to attach your catheter.
And don't forget the game only lasts 78 minutes for the North Stand in order for you to get out quickly and beat the traffic.

| Remember though that unless you're fortunate enough to be in the paddock there is no legroom.

Aagh. The swines. They have opened the paddock up to be buy tickets in now. They weren't selling them yesterday - I am in the economy seating sized legroom seating above; ironically the most expensive area you could buy seating in! I might move during the day and just sit somewhere in the Paddock; presumably there will be plenty of gaps.
Of course always the danger that I happen to chose the seat of someone who later comes in and is a bit of a meathead..!

| You cannot even get a pass out for this event. East Leeds match will finish 1.30 ish, next game starts at 4.05 I thought I would pop up to Woodies and watch footie to kill time. Just won't bother going at all now.

| Sure they were selling Tickets in the Paddock yesterday mate?!
No pass out option does seem strange with the gap from the 1st game to the 2nd so big, that will put a lot of people off.
Bit of a shame this is causing so much hassle for people.

Couldn't you go to the Carnegie bar? I know it isn't the same, but better than nothing?
I have no idea what I am going to do - I am going alone and want to catch the early game. I am interested to see if I am able to enjoy the whole day and how I will keep myself entertained.
I suspect I am going to be packing a bag full of sandwiches, sweets, a jumper (to sit on, being in the tiny, wooden seats), my ipod and a book or two for the gaps.
Right now it feels like the definition of a 'lazy Sunday'. Then off to work 9pm - 1am straight after.
Maybe there were paddock tickets yesterday, but not when I checked when I got my ticket at lunchtime on the phone.

Hmmmm...doesn't sound for me!
Would of preferred the 9's series on first then the East Leeds Game.
Ah well, few Beers in the Arc before the main event it is then.

| Hello chaps. I'm a Leigh fan looking forward to what will be a great day at your great ground on Sunday. I just have a couple of questions. Are there any places to eat close to the ground? And if not what food is served in the ground?
Thanks a lot

| Other than Elland Road, North Stand seats are some of the most excruciatingly painful i've ever experienced. Unfortunately, not being in charge of purchasing tickets, that's where i'm sat on Sunday

| This thread is exhibiting just one of the reasons the RFL need to be abolished!
Quite plainly they couldn't run a -up in a brewery.
Closing the South Stand??? Closing the Western Terraces???
Hounding GH for standing up for Hardacre???
Hounding Hardacre???
What kind of bloody appalling organisation is this??
The big fat fraud Nigel Wood seems only interested in his own self-agrandisement!
The decisions made this year by the disciplinary committee show extreme bias time after time and there are no common standards. Who exactly is making these indiscriminate decisions?
Well, WHO??

| Did anyone go in the end?
How close was the Hunslet v Oldham game? Was pretty tense - glad Hunslet did win though.
Also was anyone there early enough to see East Leeds v West Hull? There were several punch ups in the second half, which seemed to get the crowd going!
One question I do have though, is what is a 'Roughyed'? It was Oldham's name; their mascot looked like a lion with a scouse, blonde bobble-perm from the 80s, so I've no real idea if a 'Roughyed' is some form of lion-type-thing or if actually a 'Roughyed' is just some random combination of letters that means something to the people of Oldham and I have therefore missed the significance of what the name represents..?

By 1756, Oldham had emerged as centre of the hatting industry in England. The rough felt used in the production process is the origin of the term "Owdham Roughyed" a nickname for people from Oldham.
