| How about we give Franchising a few years to work?

| Franchising's critics have a go at it for not delivering improved quality almost instantly. We had years of Promotion and Relegation during which time we saw any number of clubs risk financial ruin to stay up/get promoted, with relegated sides being decimated as players jumped ship to the newly promoted side.
Franchising may not be a popular solution, and it won't solve anything overnight. But it is a rational approach to providing some stability to struggling clubs, who hopefully in turn will start investing more in player development. In the end its that production line of young players which will determine how strong SL is across the board.

Ridiculous. Catalans would be in a top 8 of super league clubs. Just because they are french doesnt mean a thing. The quicker people realise that they deserve to be here the better. They outperform Castleford, Wakefield, Salford and Harlequins in almost every disipline.

| Looking at the NRL 'whipping boys'....is that not why they are hiking up the SC, so that they have more power to pull in a bigger pool of talent, rather than losing out to RU?
On the proposal of 10 team super league and 10 team championship and splitting the money equally. How much do Championship sides currently get to share between them from TV? This would then be factored into the equation when doling out money to all 20 clubs. Plus I am in favour of the break for origin etc.
The 20minute breaks would leave us a country mile behind at international level, or should I say even further behind than we are already.

Or the worst. Have you ever been to Hull? The East/West divide in Rugby League actually means something to people. God forbid we retain anything in a sport that actually means something.

Fine. No merger, no place.
Might reprieve Bradford.

| The idea of merging the Hull clubs is ridiculous.
They can't stand each other. In 2 or 3 generations time, it might work. But for the next 100 years at least there'd be nothing but trouble with it.
It would be a marketing nightmare! There's no way you could keep both sets of fans happy. Moving to the KC would instantly get the Robins fans backs up for a start. Then every single season you'd have... "That kit looks too much like a KR Kit. I'm not having that." (or vice versa). Half the crowd would refuse to sing Old Faithful, the other half refuse to sing Red Red Robin.
It's not just a case of stick three crowns on the badge, have a bird as a mascot, play in Red, Black & White, move to the bigger stadium and we're done. There's history there.

| 10 Team Super League has no room for sentiment. There isn't room for both of them. There is room for one of them or a combination of both of them. Otherwise they don't come to the party and Bradford get a reprieve.

What if 10 team Super League had promotion and relegation? There'd be room for them both then.

No promotion and relegation from 10 team Super League. Then it would be essentially a 9 team competition with one team being a rubbing rag every week.

Who really gives a flying fook about our interbred east coast genetically deficient neighbours?
Not me for one.
Merge the two clubs – they still couldn’t make a decent team between them. I really don’t care if they’ve been around for 100+ years, they’re morons.
My only real concern would be that it would create a set of Super Morons with the combined idiocy from both clubs. It’d be like Planet of the Apes meets Deliverance.

Are you reading from Maurice Lyndsay's press release circa 1995? Surprised you haven't mentioned Calder RLFC.
