Cheers. Well it just makes you angry and laugh. Gareth makes a great point as well. There are so many clubs who have products of our excellent youth system in.. you can't keep em all in a capped league. I state again if other teams followed suite of the last ten years we'd be a lot better internaltionally. The reserve grade needs urgent attention as well. I'd scrap it and send all on loan personally.. |

I think the "Dual registration" is a step in the right direction and hopefully we will benefit from it across the whole of SL.
I also like what saints are doing by sending their youth team on tour down under,i think we as clubs and internationally should do it more often. |

Tomkins, Briscoe, O'loughlin and Hock (idiot) are all Wigan lads, not from Castleford and Oldham if you get my drift.
Wigans academy and reserve sides are producing the likes of Tomkins (x3) Hansen, Prescott, O'Carroll, Mossop, Goulding (although he hasn't progressed as much as I thought he would.
Good debate though.
Leeds academy this season was the worst I've ever seen it in recent times.'"
The fact that Leeds tend to lend out their best youngsters to get them real life experience rather than letting them smash up a load of kids only to find life in open age a bit tough |

Yes agreed.. i mention it on another thread as to why the Aussies and Kiwis produce young players that are athleticly superior to a lot of ours. |

I'd agree that Leeds have the most effective structure. The point I was making is that the structures of most other teams are more basic, therefore their players often fail to play off McGuire in the way that leeds do. |
