| Bates is a c-nt. He's shafting the fans with his prices and shafting larry by giving him nothing to spend. A quid says snodgrass and gradel go before august and all larry will get are cast offs. A bad start and bates will sack him. Let's hope bates heart gives way first

Just seen that SkyBet are offering 9/2 on Leeds signing Woodgate, Smith AND Bowyer this Summer...
They should definitely make a move for Robinson!

| So offer accepted for Schmeical who was one of the better players last season, and yet we can't finalise a deal to get shut of Billy Paynter who would make a better Prop Forward than Centre Forward...
If if wasn't Leeds, it would be funny...

| I'm not one of these bum boys who's wanting all the old players to come back, they all f-cked off and left us and now we've moved on.
Who would be a realistic replacement for Kasper who is around the same quality? Can only think of Westwood but he's linked with about 10 clubs.

And there's a few PL clubs that are linked with Westwood. Not sure he'd get a game as most PL teams have good keepers already but i wouldn't mind us signing him although i'd prefer to keep Kasper but if he isn't signing a new deal and only has a year left on it then i can see why the club would want to be cashing in now rather than having another Johnson-Killa situation.
No doubt we'll end up with a freeby from League One or a loan and the money from the Kasper sale will be banked in Ken Bates' off-shore account. He must be ready for dropping by now surely, how old is Ken again?
Wouldn't mind seeing Paynter sold, he looks overweight to me and League One is his level. The good season with Swindon was a one off and we have Becchio, Somma and McCormack who deserve to be infront of him. I wish we'd get on with making some signings though, other teams are getting players in yet we've done nothing yet. Norris was linked with us but we've missed out on him as he's joined Pompey, i would also like to see Neil Danns come in but he's been linked to Hull, Rangers and Celtic so that will count us out.

| Keiron Westwood is far too good for Dirty Leeds.
And he doesn't play for Carlisle.

| Westwood has just run his contract down at Coventry and is joining Sunderland on 1st July. Dont think he'll walk into there team TBH when they have Craig Gordon(who's injured alot but still quality), Simon Mignolet who did a great job last season IMO when Gordon was injured so unless they are getting rid of one of them then Westwood will struggle for a place as 3rd choice. He is a quality keeper but not proven at PL level.
Sunderland are reported to have agreed a deal with him on about £30k a week which is why Leeds wont have got a look in.
We've signed Paul Rachubka who was Blackpool's 3rd choice keeper last year so surely he wont be our first choice, we'll get someone better in and he'll be the back up on the bench to replace Higgs who's departed.
I think we need 2 new FB's, another quality CB aswell as signing Paddy Kisnorbo to a new deal if his fitness is upto the level required. A couple of midfielders, definately a solid ball winner and hopefully get rid of Paynter as we have Becchio, Somma and McCormack. I'd also like to see a bit more of Lloyd Sam this year otherwise i'm sure he'll want out, looked good early on last year but Gradel hit form and Sam kept getting injured, hopefully he's over them now and can prove he deserves a spot. He was better than Watt anyway.

I hardly see it as a kick in the teeth, I think you'll find that Kilkenny is just another football mercenary who will have been offered more money over 3 years at Bristol City than Leeds were prepared to offer over 2 years, he's just the same as the majority of modern day footballers.
As far as ambition goes in this instance, you'd have to question the player who would rather play every other week at home in front of 14k than 28k and in front of away crowds of less than 1k or upto 6k rather than the club. Like the majority of the current squad, Kilkenny might get to play at a higher level than he currently does with Leeds but I doubt he will play for a bigger club than Leeds.
Not a big waste in terms of what he offers when playing too many sideways passes, moaning at team-mates when he passes to the opposition and daren't tackle.

| I'm glad Kilkenny has gone. We struggled in midfield last year because of the likes of him and Johnson not being able to tackle and gte stuck in. Howson is the same but he's better used as a more attacking midfielder, the other two aren't.
Let him battle at the bottom with Bristol City, he'll probably get dropped for them during the season.
