| The most lasting memory that I'll take from last nights game would be how fekkin' hot it was.
Also thought BJB was very impressive.

| i thought BJB was impressive in attack but looked very nervous in defence.
burrow did what burrow has done all his career. dart across the line looking for gaps. why people are praising him last night for it I don't know. it's what he does.
I thought he played well, looked dangerous but nowhere near man of the match.
we did what was needed, no more no less.
not impressive but its another 2 points

| Quote: Juan Cornetto "Hall stops his run dead once he is in position the knock the ball back. Why is that wrong?
He has done the same in recent games. The kickers job is to place it where his winger has a good chance of getting under it before the opposition which need not be close to the line. The wingers job is to make sure he gets to the ball first.'"
We must simply agree to differ - Hall takes balls at full pace and knocks them back. No attacking player wants to be stationary when taking the ball - you give away your momentum advantage - jumping from a standing position is significantly more difficult. IMO just a miss kick for Burrow that Hall turned into a good play

| Londons 19's beat your 19's yesterday in a good game.
Mac was down watching. Is he looking to bring in one of the kids to the senior squad?

That will depend on us having injuries to his favourite first teamers.

Whereas I reported
Quote: craigizzard "JP was our best forward with his usual effort and Ablett, Clarkson and Kirke did some solid defending in the heat'"
The stats out today say:
JP, Clarkson (32 each) Ablett (31) and Kirke (27) were our top tacklers. Not bad defensive effort in the heat and Kirke achieved his tally in a lot less minutes than the others
The stats also show MOM Burrow out-perform Soward (voted MOM by the anti Burrow faction) with more metres, more carries, better average gain, more clean breaks, more tackle busts, and more offload.

Not to mention the amazing three times around the forward tackle that he did - Unfortuanatly a try resulted but it was one of the funniest things I have seen

I don't necessarily disagree with you, BTW, but those stats aren't always the best indicator. If someone runs at you, you have to tackle them. You don't necessarily go looking for tackles to make. You do, however, look for the ball to take to the difence. or you don't, in the case of Kirke. ^ carrioes again this week.
WRT to the anti Burrow faction I recall a home game with London three or four years ago where he received a rash of criticism on here from many of the usual suspects. TVOC was repoducing the Opta stats in those dates and they came out to show a record for try assists on the part of the wee-man. Bizarre.

I'll be very interested in his metres. There was one clearing set that went through Hall BJB and Watkins and we were on the 50 metre line. Very impressed with all the threequarters.
'"
Hey Gotcha.
Ryan Hall. 7 tackle busts. A whopping 189 metres. 2 Clean breaks. 1 try assist and 3 offloads.
If that is a poor game you have very, very high standards.

Excellent effort.
Whilst he hasnt had his most prolific season try scoring wise, and that is mainly due to feeding off scraps for many games this year, hall brings so much more to the table.he always looks for work, sucks in three defenders and always seems find his front even when matched against forwards creating a quick play the ball.he is the complete package.

I hear what you're saying and I fully agree with his usual PP number of carries per game. But I am sure his main role to defend around the ruck and I thought on this occassion he was quite active in the heat for a big man. His 27 tackles and 6 carries were made in 39 minutes so there was little time to make more carries to be fair.

The ABF (Anti-Burrow Faction) spokesmen say he only runs sideways and 'down blind alleys' and can only miskick off the outsides of his boots...... yet he made 124 metres forwards (similar to BJB) 22 carries, 2 clean breaks, 4 tackle busts, 3 attacking kicks (one of which led to JP's try) 8 tackles and one offload. He was a constant threat and created space for his team mates. Yes he did make two handling errors but that happens in sport. As you say Bizarre

IIRC he was also the first player in SL this season to break the 3,000m gained barrier...

Give him the award now! Those numbers are obscene, especially considering he missed a handful of games as well.
Sadly I expect brough or o loughlin will take home the honour
