My feelings aswel, Massive fan of Broadbent, just needs his chance, id be more than happy going into 2022 with Broadbent and Newman our starting and using Hurrells cap elsewhere.

I think physicality is the only thing Broadbent lacks which with age and strength training should fix.Getting his chance is the hard bit with three players ahead of him.

From what I've seen Broadbent isn't as "showy" as Newman, with the side stepping and power off the mark, but he has more natural skill. Seem him take a couple of wonderful intercepts. He's a proper winger's centre IMO.

It's just that physical aspect - and possibly a bit of tiger too, he comes across as almost too nice, whereas Newman is ultra competitive and will push himself forward.

Would love to see both playing centre for Leeds for some time to come, both offer something and could make a great combination for us.

There are another couple of lads coming through (or, were coming through...) who can play centre too. And of course we're forgetting Corey Hall, who I haven't seen much of.

I would have no hesitation in playing Broadbent in the centre position this season

I also wouldn't want Liam Sutcliffe signing a new deal at the club at the expense of blocking Broadbent's pathway to regular first team football, as I think that Broadbent will be a far better player if he gets the chance early enough.

Newman & Broadbent could be some centre partnership for both Leeds and England for a decade

Watched kings 5 NRL games today and was again impressed with the meters he made on his carries and his defence, his tackles stick.

One concern that didnt show up in his Fiji games, he lost the ball in contact too often. Hope he can iron that out because other than that, theres a lot to like about his game.

Misunderstood then there is only Mellor and Martin.I'm not a fan of having a back on the bench unless Leeming can do 80 minutes.

And that is an option: Leeming for 80 and then Myler perhaps on the bench rather than Dwyer. Or Broadbent, one of the Sutcliffes...

Agar has plenty of combinations to look at; I just hope we try to play players in one preferred position where we can (when they’re coming through). I don’t think it helps players gain confidence being swapped and changed all the time.

There are going to be some decent quality players feeling quite frustrated this year - but that’s a mark of having a good side again.
