Spot on, Donaldson is probably on less than half the wage of many first team players. He is behind Martin, Mellor, Ward, Smith and Sutcliffe in the back row. Who do people expect from our 6th choice back rower to be? A current international. If the youngster are better than him they’ll get in the team ahead of him, if not they can keep improving at Fev, Bradford or in the Reserve team.

I am not one who has a problem with Donaldson, however in answer to your question, in view of the new dual registration rules, why did we need a 6th choice stuck on the books? We could have utilised the dual reg from Fev if it came to the situation of having to use a so called 6th choice.

| Also, we can only dual reg one at any time from Fev. Might be best keeping that slot in anticipation of needing cover in the backs where we seem thinnest on the ground right now.

We don't really have anybody that could be spared from the pack at Fev, we have a bit of depth in the backs for sure but last week in the Challenge Cup we effectively went with a two-man bench because we had no forwards left - it's partly because Leeds have so much depth in the pack that we haven't signed much depth ourselves, whereas we have signed plenty of cover in the backs because we know you have little depth there.
Fev outside backs - Hall, Blackmore, Carey, Worthington (loan), Hardcastle, Gale, plus Minns, Whylie & Render who are all currently injured, plus 4 reserves.
Fev halves - Chisholm, Jouffret & Sweeting
Fev forwards Susino, Bussey, Harrison, Ferres, Lockwood, Cooper, Albert (loan), Parata, plus Davies, Ferguson & Day who are all currently injured

| It will be interesting to see what changes are made from the 17 chosen to play Toronto back in march, I think Leeming will be in included and possibly Tom Briscoe, not sure Stevie Ward is ready to play yet and same with Jack Walker.
