Perhaps the RFL received the dossier too late or hadn't finished wading through it's contents and evaluating the validity of Potter's concerns to act any sooner than they have. It will be interesting to note how often any of the 7 'full timers' officiate outside the top flight this season.

Re Smith's performance I thought it was marred slightly by a very quick whistle for offside without allowing Sa an advantage when he looked on his way to the line. As Catalans scored (I believe) on the next set it spared Smith's blushes.

injured, and with Delaney, Hall and Webb looking a bit dodgy it is quite legitimately an "injury crisis". Having said that I don't think injuries are our biggest problem at the moment. Our biggest problem is that we aren't doing the right things with the ball when we have possession. We're trying to score too often instead of having the patience to wear teams down, we either don't get to 5th tackle kicks enough or don't put good enough kicks in, and when we're near the opposition try line we're trying to score instead of trying to get repeat sets.
Agree with the rest of your post though, we'll get better as the season goes on.

Scott Donald (shoulder) 12 weeks
Kallum Watkins (ACL) 26 weeks - minimum
Greg Eastwood (wrist) 12 weeks

Kevin Sinfield (thigh) missed the last 2
Brett Delaney (knee) missed 3 from 7 and carrying a knee injury when he plays

After last week at Huddersfield, Brent Webb, Ryan Hall, Danny Buderus and Ryan Bailey all reported as picking up knocks, so it will be interesting to see how many are available on Friday.

Here's a novel thought - just get on with it.

Injuries are a part of modern professional sport, and Leeds have had more than their fair share of good fortune in not losing key players for extended periods over the last 5-6 years.
