But we are losing a guy who could have been the England/GB full back for many years to come.
You always hope that people are successful and are good in what they want to achieve, but i dont think it'll be too long before he is back, and that will be good for England at International level.'"
True. But I would like to see him have an impact in the way robinson did. Would be good to see some publicity for the game, through a convert

Just read this on the BBC's commentary of the RU this afternoon.
".....that was a dreadful game of rugby. Don't get me wrong, I like rugby union, but I bet you my camper van the rugby league will be about 100-times better later tonight."
BBC Sport Journalist Ben Dirs (potentially the greatest sports journalist name ever!) in his assessment of the England - Argentina match at fulltime.
Bet his bosses will be happy with him........

I watched it in the absence of watching my lawn grow.
It was kick without the clap, even the Twickers mob booed at halftime.
The best bit was when Martin Johnson was shown burying his head in his hands due the unremitting awfulness of the England's performance.
Lee Smith could find himself fast-tracked into the England set-up if he show the slightest aptitude for the game.

| Well, how disappointing was that?
Why did Smith pick Wilkin?
Tomkins did little but then we had no ball after the 60 minute mark.
Same old , same old.
Until SL is as competitive as the NRL on a weekly basis hard to see how we can compete.
So come on the rest of you get up to our & Saints level.

| I dont normally post, as the more astute of you will notice, but tonight feel I have to make the following observation.
It is not hindsight but to not play an experienced half back partnership has cost us. To not pick Burrow from the outset was a mistake, but that has been compounded by then Tony Smith not selecting his best halfs available to him which was Eastmond and Mcguire. Tomkins is not yet up to it at this level. How a coach can leave BOTH half backs from a treble winning GF side out of the International side beats me. History shows that both Burrow and Mcguire can play the big games. To not pick at least one of them was a huge mistake. I may be biased but they both should have played. Tonight I cant remember any passage of play between our 6 and 7. A bit like the lack of cohesion when Tomkins and Eastmond played against NZ. We got away with it then, we didnt tonight.

Thought Eastmond looked our only back likely to break the line. Both of our centres offered nothing in attack.
