| Rob Burrow documentary on BBC2 on 12th at 7pm and repeated on BBC1 Oct 17th at 1.15pm
A Year with MND.
Going to be a very tough watch but the awareness he has raised for this terrible disease during all hes dealinf with is truly remarkable. He was a hero on the pitch but even more so off it. But we all know that.

Yes I'm going to have to force myself to watch it . When I think of all the love his family are giving him and outwardly looking cheerful .my heart goes out to them

| I was supposed to be going to see Rob last week, but then the government put that on hold. It just shows what kind of family they are, when Lindsey was going to invite a fan into their home. I had a flag made and Rob Re tweeted it. As a long shot I asked Lindsey if it would be possible to show Rob it, and she replied that it would be great to go over to Ponty and have a chat with him. Heart breaking what they are going through.

| Talking of statues/tributes etc, I know it is really an 'American' thing, but I would like to see them retire his number from use after this season. A fitting tribute and legacy to a great player, a humble guy, a committed family man and a real fighter. Do it now while he still has chance to see it.

While I understand the sentiment I wouldn't want any numbers retiring long term.
I want in a few years to be going to a game with my nieces and pointing out the famous No7 worn by legend that is Rob Burrow.
I want the comms team when Im watching a game to reference that number and those lucky enough to grace it.
It may seem a bit sad but it will keep the memory of Rob within the game forever and he will inextricably be linked to his deeds, blood, sweat and tears to the cause.
The blue and amber weighs heavily on some players but Rob made carrying those colours and weight of history effortless and I want to see that effort reflected in a new generation for the ideals, struggles and ultimate victory that that shirt and number represent.

I understand the sentiment but I wouldn't be a fan of this myself. I am sure the club will do the right things: we are pretty good at how we go about our business.
I don't know Rob personally but I doubt he want want his shirt to be retired, he'd probably be more keen on seeing the next young gun coming through the Academy aiming to make it their own and make new stories in it.
I am sadder about Rob Burrow's condition than just about anything else that has happened in recent years. Such a lovely bloke and family, and done so much to give us all wonderful memories over his career. He is right up there with my favourite all-time Leeds players.
I would support a statue in due course. Maybe naming a stand after him too - Western Terrace doesn't do much for me! And I always remember him scoring that great try in the GF against Saints from right to left, the view from the South Stand would see the score on the Western Terrace end.. bill silly I know!
Without being too morbid, like I said I'm confident the club will find the right ways to pay tribute to Rob, and to help support his family.

I know. I was a mess watching Rob & Jamie's testimonial, I doubt this will be an 'easier' watch.

| It will be difficult to watch, of course it will, but i know Rob was excited to do it and at the end of the day its a vital way of raising awareness of this disease and an appreciation of what Rob and his family are doing for MND.
He was brilliant on the pitch, hes a fantastic bloke and the way he and his clan have handled this tragedy has been inspirational to all.
Full credit to Sally Nugent and the BBC for the coverage they have given this disease and the attention they have brought to the whole country. It wont help our champ but it might help future sufferers.
Unfortunately there arent many Rob Burrow's on the planet.
