Still lots to work on, but the defence was better than it's been all season.

I will say though, Myler has to be the most negative scrum half I've seen in a Leeds shirt. Never takes on the line, never puts in an attacking kick.

Took his try very well but he was going for the interception rather than the tackle, really poor attitude but slightly improved from previously (not much to boast about)

Where did that defensive display come from?

Like others have said, not pretty, but can’t knock the effort one bit.

Feared the worst when I saw that pack on paper, but thought they were great laying the platform for field position tonight.

Newman’s a star, Ava chewed up metres, Dwyer and Watkins outstanding, and Tui’s try!!

Excellent win that and a huge 2 points guven our next 3 or 4 fixtures. We look to be building slowly but surely. Agar has steadied the ship so credit there.

Newman was excellent.. what a super talent he is. Ava Merrin Dwyer v good. Ava's best game to date. Conditions helped us a bit but v happy with that.

Thought myler was our worst player

To be fair, that's a common play for most full backs these days. Matt Bowen was excellent at it, and Darius Boyd is a master of it.

You could sellotape Bowen and Boyd together and they'd run faster and weigh less than Tui.

Thought he was absolutely awful. His try was a bit of a comedy. But his all round performance was a liability all over.

Watkins, Ava, Dwyer, Briscoe, Newman, and Merrin were brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

Thoroughly deserved win, very committed, and lots of hard work.

Please get rid of Ferres though.

Well.... that wasn’t a classic Wakefield side to be fair, and we got let off the hook a couple of times, but the defence was great and we had them covered mostly.

That’s it for me for the rest of this season; Watkins in second row and Newman to centre.

Can’t wait for Ward to get back, we’ve really missed him.

Handley gets a lot of stick but he tidied up whatever came his way pretty well I thought. Hurrell was feeling his way back from injury but also pretty good.

We need a Fifita-style prop to inspire that pack, and definitely some better quality in the halves. I could live with most of the rest of the squad as it’s looking for next year.

Newman is brill but I was a bit disappointed he got run down for that breakaway. His D was the most pleasing thing though - you can see his improvement there.

Indeed, hopefully it'll be Ferris that makes way for him. I don't think I've disliked a Leeds player more than Ferris.

Both Handley and Briscoe deserve credit for tracking back on the Wakefield break that led to Lolohea’s try. Without them both tracking back Lolohea would have had to have gone for the tackle instead.

Efforts that maybe in the past wouldn’t have happened or would have been directed elsewhere.
