Mate the forwards worked non stop that 2nd half we hardly had the ball you have to try amd rotate them as much as poss in that heat and situation. It wasnt a game to bring a half on we needed to get a rest into the forwards.

One positive was Newman. No fear plus some good plays and tackles. For someone playing a first game after a double break and ten months out, that was a helluva performance

Yet bringing a half on would give us a chance to rotate Sutty with back row.
2nd half was woeful & Davies try aside the other scores were pretty basic RL & preventable.

I think the tiredness was because of the strength of the Catalans players and the unavoidble weakness/lightweightness of our bench. We started with a really competitive team but simply couldn't maintain that level with the interchange options available to us.

Could have been worse but yes I really would love to see how that team plus Oledzki, King and Tetevano went vs the best in the league.

Probably down to bare bones again,due to covid,injuries and suspensions.I guess it was Hobson's choice, with King's lack of visa.

It was the middles that needed rotating on and off not the 2nd row. No issue not using McLelland til last 5 tonight. The middles was getting rolled downfield.

Too many errors and poor discipline hurt us badly tonight.

So frustrating, very poor second half again after a great first 40...shouldnt be letting a 20 odd to 0 second half happen.

Oledski and Tetevano (amongst others) could have given us the power to change the momentum in the second half. Holroyd and Prior did well but they are only human.

Agar was using Donaldson & O'Connor as middles he should have done the same with Sutcliffe or moved Mellor in field.
If you aren't gonna bother using Mclellend then dont pick him put another younf forward in.

good effort better players have been worse - hopefully from club message be getting some better players

Mark you think Sutcliffe and Mellor as props wouldve changed the momentum of the game? Seriously? At least Donaldson and Jared play as middles but both are too small.

Gannon was due to be on the bench but had to withdraw and McLelland had to fill in as the cupboard was bare. If the 2nd half had panned out better it wouldve been ideal to give Callum 20 mins but we couldnt get the ball and was just getting rolled downfield. Agar had little choice to use his subs rotating his middles.

McLelland wasnt unused he did get on but very late and the game was over.

Im saying it would have given more scope for rotating that pack & both Sutty/Mellor a much bigger fwds than O'Conner & Donaldson.
The in game management by the Coach was poor as was our defence the excuses dont change that.
Also the discipline was woeful before they got a roll on something else Agar has failed to address.

You're blaming the coach for the high tackles? Its Rugby League mate not a punch and judy show. The coach doesnt control every movement or action. Jeez.

The lack of discipline early on may have took a lot of juice out of the team allowing Catalans to get on a roll later on dont you think?

We just can’t manage to get a fully fit squad/players not banned on the field and it costs us against the best sides. We win that comfortably imo with Tet Oledsjki Martin playing imo.

Disappointing to lose, but we can hold our heads up that with a battered and knackered team we have taken it to the league leaders two weeks in a row.

Plenty to be positive about, and plenty to improve on.
