| Just got home from the game. Very frustrating. Not sure if all who are posting actually attended, but I suspect the horrendous weather, which really troubled both sides did not come across on the box. That said, the two hookers continue to be hopeless, Briscoe somehow managed to blow a certain try and Hurrell took another step towards playing himself out of a new deal. Was there any explanation of what was wrong with Tetavano on TV?

| I said the ref needed to police the ruck but Hull had hands in and on the ball almost every tackle and generally playing spoiling tactics. That part of the game was poor.
As for the rest, I don’t think we’ve learned much new on that performance. Our pack is pretty good, and will be better again next year - maybe plus one or two.
Gale is still finding form but one or two nice touches tonight. You do need another creative threat though and we just really struggled there.
Hope Tetevano just cramped up and it isn’t yet another muscle tear.

| Gannon the only crumb of comfort, thought he looked good again in very limited time.

Would not argue with that, but boy that is saying something. Full back, six and nine, real lack of athleticism and game breaking skill in all three positions.

Agree but at the minute there’s not much to be added in that regard, what should be manageable is the low level of fundamental skill and discipline across the board.

| Well that attacking structure looked non existent.
Hull`s defence was good which you would expect from a top 6 side but our attack was woeful.
Tom Briscoe was worse than Hurrell and thats saying something.
Gale is playing for 2 half backs and Luke Briscoe is not good enough.
Very disappointed with Leeming and whilst Dwyer`s passing is poor at least he gives it a go.
The only plus apart from Mik was Newman who came across very well indeed and must be rubbing his hands of walking straight back into the starting team.
Actually I thought Donaldson put in a shift and showed a lot of heart.

| Can’t believe you’re blaming the ref after being given the game last week with a duff call.

I think one does contribute to the other. You are reliant on certain positions to be the brains of the side and we look to have a really low IQ. But I know what you mean, it does seem like 90% of the team can have a brain explosion at any time. I sat there behind the posts tonights babbling away to myself like a mad man.

| Hurrell both Briscoe's Dwyer and Martin were very poor.Gale is trying but is kicking game is poor. Sutcliffe took his try well but should be at centre. Oledzki and Prior once again put a shift in. Gannon is going to be one hell of a player. On this form Martin and Hurrell shouldn't be offered new deals. Use their contract monies to try and sign Trueman and Connor that's if Connor hasn't already signed a new deal.

| From a Hull point of view, our ball retention and discipline in the second half was as bad as it gets really. We presented you with enough opportunities to win that game 10 times over, yet I never really felt like we would lose because your attack was so toothless. It has to be said our goalline defence has improved massively this year and we showed that again tonight. But even with all that territory I can only remember a couple of times that we were made to come up with a proper last ditch tackle. Most of the time we looked totally unflustered. You actually did alot of things pretty well, but ball in hand in good field position you were desperately bad.

I'm not sure if it's actually been announced yet but it sounds very much like Connor has signed an extension for Hull. He seems to be really enjoying playing for Hodgson.

Whilst all that's true it didn't help that every time we played the ball within your ten (and it was a lot in the second half) all your players were offside and the ref didn't blow for it once. As poor as we were I have a real issue with the ref not binning a single Hull player despite relentless cynical fouling in the second half. I'm not sure anyone on the pitch in any coloured comes out with much credit tonight.

Tbh that comes across as sour grapes. Yeah we probably got away with a few, but then you had a few dubious calls go your way too. ATEOTD a half decent team would have put us away given that many opportunities.
