Broadbent is 4th cover at centre,L Briscoe and Tindal wings no need to move anyone out of the pack.

Broken record I know but I’d like to see Hurrell on the right, maybe with Broadbent as understudy (although he’s left centre from academy I believe). Martin defends on that side too if needed.

Newman first choice left centre with L Sutcliffe reserve, or Mellor in emergency.

All decent options.

I think Sutty will be centre cover for both sides.Coaches always go with experience but i hope we do see Broadbent get some games but i think now that it looks like Sutty is staying i think his chances will be very limited.He could be one we will lose next season which will be a shame as i think there's a very good player in him.A lot will depend if the club decide to retain Hurrell.

I've always been a Broadbent fan, he is very classy. We just need him to show potential at SL level so he doesn't end up being another solid Championship product.

Be interesting to see how he shapes up physically after a good pre-season.

Haven't seen a great deal of Broadbent at a decent level, but what I have seen I like. On the other hand I've seen a lot of Sutcliffe and my honest belief is that he will never be approaching top class in any position. He's a whole hearted trier and probably very popular with his team mates, but I'd hate to think he'd be a blocker to lad like Broadbent getting a decent run.

My feelings aswel, Massive fan of Broadbent, just needs his chance, id be more than happy going into 2022 with Broadbent and Newman our starting and using Hurrells cap elsewhere.

I think physicality is the only thing Broadbent lacks which with age and strength training should fix.Getting his chance is the hard bit with three players ahead of him.

From what I've seen Broadbent isn't as "showy" as Newman, with the side stepping and power off the mark, but he has more natural skill. Seem him take a couple of wonderful intercepts. He's a proper winger's centre IMO.

It's just that physical aspect - and possibly a bit of tiger too, he comes across as almost too nice, whereas Newman is ultra competitive and will push himself forward.

Would love to see both playing centre for Leeds for some time to come, both offer something and could make a great combination for us.

There are another couple of lads coming through (or, were coming through...) who can play centre too. And of course we're forgetting Corey Hall, who I haven't seen much of.

I would have no hesitation in playing Broadbent in the centre position this season

I also wouldn't want Liam Sutcliffe signing a new deal at the club at the expense of blocking Broadbent's pathway to regular first team football, as I think that Broadbent will be a far better player if he gets the chance early enough.

Newman & Broadbent could be some centre partnership for both Leeds and England for a decade

Watched kings 5 NRL games today and was again impressed with the meters he made on his carries and his defence, his tackles stick.

One concern that didnt show up in his Fiji games, he lost the ball in contact too often. Hope he can iron that out because other than that, theres a lot to like about his game.
