| Better things to spend my cash on. They mismanaged the finances and want people to give money so they can have another go. Priceless. Go into administration, a new board and start again

| Quote: ryano "I don't think Duckett said anything that wasn't true. BTW You don't have to pledge £100 as there is a £50 option on their pledge page. I'm in for £50.'"
I've still not seen it, but based on Andy's account, when conducting a PR exercise a club who were at the time headed by the senior partner of a huge legal firm citing a long and expensive legal battle as a major reason for the mire they are in , whist possibly factually correct isn't going to garner much sympathy from certain areas.
You can only assume that given RBS's decision that the business plan moving forward doesn't look exactly robust, so asking the fans to bail them out in the short term may provide a short term fix, but does it end there?

| Quote: Adeybull "Out of interest, did he try and argue the other club was in the wrong, or did he simply state the fact as you have done there?
If he said what you said, he was merely stating a truthful fact. Regardless of the rights and wrongs, the legal battle was expensive (not least in terms of legal fees and other distractions) and long. Was he wrong to state that?'"
It was entirely disingenuous given that the final payment of the settlement monies was paid in 2010 and this crisis has happened in 2012.
They continue to pull the wool over your eyes but if it helps to paint Leeds as the bad guys then go for it. However, like Andy says, it'll hardly help persuade this part of the RFL community to help out.

| Anyone else starting to cringe at the efforts trying to raise money coming from the Bulls?
They're clearly not going to raise 500K for next week. I've read comments on Facebook & Twitter, and I get the impression that apart from a few at each other club, most fans, including Bulls fans, don't care if they go under.
The whole saga reminds me of a drug addict desperately begging & pleading for money to pay for another quick fix, but ultimately it will all end in a sad pitiful death.
I'll be there next week...a fiver a ticket well spent

| How do you value the shares in a failing business with little in the way of saleable assets and a shedload of liabilities?
For the Bulls to move forward out of this, someone is going to have to buy out their majority shareholder. As we all know from experience, he's not a man given to sensible negotiation.

The whole thing is pure madness and the Bulls fans and many of other good people are being suckered in! We have Leon Price putting his Grand Final ring up for auction & we have own coach selling his CC jersey from 2000!
It seems, unfortunately, that advice from the majority or Wakey fans and many other throughout the game, has fallen on deaf ears!
Bullbuilder has decided to support the clubs fund raising efforts and prop-up the existing BOD at the Bulls - www.bullbuilder.co.uk/NewsItem.a ... e0a72661fa
I can't help but think they are making a huge mistake and delaying the inevitable!
I also think, as a neutral who inadvertently had a front row seat when Trinity went through this, I think they are kidding themselves with statements like this "given that the club’s position is unique and not directly comparable to other recent administrations, such as that from which Wakefield emerged last season."
Let me tell you something, it is almost exactly the same and most of you guys know it! The only difference is the owe the tax man even more money than Wakefield!
I for one think they and other fans and clubs supporting this, are potentially making a huge error that they are likely to regret this in the too distant future. I genuinely hope they don't and I personally would be delighted to be proved wrong!
I wish the Bulls and their fans all the best... but equally, sorry guys... I am out!

If it is, it's about as well timed as a Paul Sykes crash ball...

| It has occurred to me to wonder whether, should they get this £500k in pledges and pocket it, and the club still be afloat afterwards, will anybody actually check that they really needed £500k?
Am I being too cynical now?

Well the accounts will become a matter of public record at Companies House, so it wouldn't be too hard to see where it had gone.

It's one hell of a build-up anyway. I await the punchline with interest.

Prepare yourself - I suspect it may be more "Miranda" than "Family Guy" when it finally arrives.

For no apparent reason, or over another proposed move to Valley Parade?
