Where does he play if Zak and Myler are fit ? He's 3rd choice between those. Unless a season long loan ?

| Funny how people say he could play wing, centre or half back, but then we've seen for years how the club have tried to shoe horn players into the team. Walker came onto the scene with a bang, but I don't think he's come close to reaching the levels everyone expected when he was supposedly being chased by NRL clubs. Good luck to the lad. I hope he manages to stay injury free and there's interest in him

He’s way too slow, for wing or full back, no handling or kicking skills for halfback, injury prone, missed far more than he plays.
Its not a loss if he leaves permanently.

| Made his debut in '17 and has only played 63 games.
I don't think it's a loss.

Completely agree. Compare him to someone like Welsby and he's nowhere near

| A difficult decision as it always is when it involves a young lad with deep roots at the club.
But it's the right decision and tbh it's a relief that Rohan has made it quickly.

People are too quick to write players off. There’s a very talented player in there still……

| Hope he can stay fit and get his career going again. Good broken field runner and almost too brave for his own good.
Had terrible luck with injuries for the thick end of 5 years.
Let’s hope
He gets a run of games
For FC.

| Not sure anyone has said anything "mean" unless you count the blindingly obvious - he's too small for a threequarter and his passing is not good enough for a halfback. We all wish him well but he's third best at the club in the only position he plays. He's 22 and needs to be playing first grade, and this move makes sense for everyone.
Smith is showing the kind of determination to improve the squad we've needed for years, and Walker clearly won't be the last to leave. Just having been at the club for a long time is no reason to stay.

It's not like he's played a handful of games are people are saying he won't make it. I, like many others, were excited to see him develop but injuries and bad luck have halted his progress. Even when he's had a run in the team, there hasn't been enough sign to think he's on his way back. I'm happy for someone to tell me different. People are struggling to see where he'll fit into this squad (let alone team). I think we would prefer to see him move on, have a fresh start and hopefully achieve some of that potential.

| The other consideration for me is that Myler is 32 and Hardaker is coming up 31.
2 years and we need a new FB.
It's a loan deal, so gives Walker the opportunity to get some game time, get some fitness and show what he can do.
He might not come back to Leeds, but it's a good opportunity for him and being a loan deal means the door is not necessarily closed yet.

Yeah that’s how I see it.

| Quote: ArthurClues "If Hardaker stays, and that is not confirmed, I don't see a way for Jack to play regularly at Leeds. He's a straight full back and I don't think he offers much utility value. But then again, wouldn't he always be second fiddle to a fit Connor?'"
Connor wants to play in the halves which would be best all round.
If Walker gets back to anything like the player he was then he is a better full back than Connor imo.
Is he a long way from that currently though?

| It’s the business we are in isn’t it, Jack has always appeared exhilarating, brave and at times so dangerous, he’s young with a recurring injury record, as an away supporter who always thought he was excellent, so if it suits the player, your new coach, and our club then we will happily take him in.
As an aside, it’s really alarming how many young starlets from all teams are getting so many injuries, Newman, Dodd, Walker, Cator, and Walker, a lot more to add to that list, our game is so fast and athletic it make me wonder if we are asking these lads to perform far to early, regardless of their talent. the physical demands on players now is punishing.
