| GH confirming on Leeds Live that Agar will move into our DOR role when the times right and the right coach to replace him becomes available.
Good news imo, think he'l be excellent in that role.

Yep I do have faith the club is going in the right direction now. More confused as to how we lost our way so badly before.

Happens in a lot of organisations/businesses that enjoy a period of remarkable success. The decline sets in at the peak (for us probably about 2009/10) and continues almost unnoticed until its suddenly manifestly obvious and everybody is scratching their heads in disbelief. Not to worry, we're on the high road once again.

Yes, but Leeds had years on this and we almost get relegated. There’s a wobble and there’s almost a collapse. Many sides with a quarter of the resources Leeds have did better than us for years.
Looking at the infrastructure and cash Leeds have the scale of the fall was not defensible IMO. Having said that we made a decision to turn it around maybe four years ago and we’ve slowly been putting Humpty back together again.
Now I’m really happy with where the club is at again, move on and look forward.

Agree with this Jim, iv not been this optimistic or excited at the direction the clubs going for quite some time.
Every area of the club is seeing recruitment of quality people, the best in there field, in the country...Bastian, Hunwicks, the new signings, the new Academy signings, this news on Agar. Good news after good news imo.
Whilst Agar isnt proven in the DOR role, myself and many others on here believe its the ideal role for him, he's been doing it with GH since Kev left and i cant knock anything they have done so far so really pleased its confirmed that he'l be DOR full time at some point.

Not trying to defend, merely saying that it happens and perhaps taken in context the fall was not quite as precipitous as we think. Three bad years, 16,18 and 19 around two years when we one championship in 17, and the cup 20. But you're right, Humpty is damn near reassembled.

I love this club to bits and we look like Leeds again now. Gary H and others have done a brilliant job overall.
Agree there are inevitable cycles in business and in sport, I just can’t see how a club with our resources should ever be in danger of relegation in this league.
Hunwicks and Bastian coming back is good. Sean Long should be able to make more impact next year now he has some players. It’s obvious the club is open-minded to a change if head coach when the right person becomes available too. All very sensible stuff.

| This seems like a natural progression and I'm glad the club feel like they are now in a position to grow organically rather than force things like they have had to do over the last few years. The future is bright with the talent coming through and some astute overseas signings. Lots of kudos to Hetherington, Agar and don't forget Shinfield who laid a lot of the foundations to bring us forwards

| Just imagine if Caddick and Hetherington hadn't come along all those years ago. We'd possibly have ended up at Elland Road and in the sort of mess Wigan are in. Doesn't bear thinking about how that would have ended.

| Fair play to John Bastian, he earns his money, he's everywhere, seems to be at every community game in Yorkshire, starting to think theres ten of him. Was at Millford v Oulton u18's yesterday, wearing shorts in the middle of a hurricane. Our academy player Kyden Frater had a stormer...2 trys, 2 try assists

| I thought we looked a lot fitter this season, the line speed looked really good. Then the second half against Wigan happened and I'm left confused.

Yeah never been overly impressed, but il give him credit when its due, he did have an excellent game, standard of the opposition obviously not the best.
Put it this was, if he was looking for better players than Frater, he wont of found any in that game.
