Yeh lets go for Wane and watch boring , thuggery , bending the rules garbage
Or lets go the Leeds way playing exiting attacking rugby .No Agar may not be the future but Wane certainly is not the man for Leeds .

No it’s not ,it’s simply saying previous success doesn’t always mean success in future roles.
I wouldn’t want Wane because I’m not a fan of his style, regardless of what he won with Wigan.

| Wayne Bennett! Lay off the cooking sherry. Agar is doing OK. The Rugby, which is the most important thing, has come on a lot under him. He's already put one pot on the sideboard ahead of schedule. As for not wanting to be a head coach, he might not of fancied the shambles he inherited, but he seems pretty comfortable with his lot at present. As do Sinfield, Hetherington and the players.

I've heard from two sources now that Agar is looking to move upstairs again, and the club will obviously support that as he did them a massive favour, coming in as he did....
Agar as head coach was never the long term plan.

| Comparing Wane to Bennett is ridiculous. Going to several different clubs and roles and bringing success to almost all of them is very different from essentially a one club man who has never worked outside the very clearly defined structures of Wigan.
As we saw when he played for us, outside that Wigan environment he was a very different beast. If we had a head coach vacancy then yes certainly he would deserve to be on a shortlist but it would still be a risk given his lack of experience outside one club. And, yes, his approach and style of play also give pause for thought.

That is a very sensible post.

| I'm just sharing what I heard, and that's Agar not wanting to be a head coach beyond this season. I'm not saying Wane is the right man, but who else would be on the shortlist?

| Agar knows that for any coach it’s just a matter of time. He won’t want to get sacked, he’ll want to manage it on his own terms and keep some job security.
Long is a possibility if/when Agar does the sideways step.
Ryan Carr is another name. I could see us going to Aus.

| Wane is a winner but his teams play bloody awful rugby. Cynical, boring stuff.
Maybe Leeds should be looking at giving a step up to someone like Danny Ward? Or maybe a decent young Aussie like Jason Demetriou?

| Ward and Demetriou would be interesting yes. Mr Bennett is out of contract and looking at options for next year... maybe even 1 year of him at Leeds could be an interesting investment, if he'd come over.
Kristian Woolf seems to be going OK at Saints; coaches are out there and getting a head coach gig in the NRL is extremely tough.

| I honestly think Wane would do well at somewhere like Brisbane or Canterbury, they need a coach like him

| Think Bennett is rumoured to be going back to Queensland judging by the latest media noise over there.
There's the possibility of a third Queensland club starting in the NRL in 2023. Might rule out Demetriou too but if not who knows?

Managed to win a Challange Cup though. I think he is the right man for the right time. How long that will be for is another matter
