| Quote: Clearwing "Maybe, though your derby performance fell a fair bit short of the one you put in the week previous. While it was a decent game to watch and rovers did well to keep it tight against the odds, they weren't all that threatening I thought. That said, how Leeds will play is anyone's guess.'"
Its always a difficult thing to quantify. I think against you we really wanted to make a statement and we put everything into it. Then we had a short turnaround and struggled to bring that same intensity against Rovers. So whilst Rovers got a lot of plaudits, did they really offer more against us than Leeds did? I really don't know. But fwiw if Garbutt and Parcell are playing then I'm backing KR.

| Come on Sir Kev we have played 1 game which granted we were well beaten in - KR have played 2 and lost one and they never really looked like beating Hull FC so I hardly think it is a must win situation. Let’s wait until we have played 3 or 4 games and see where we are.
Think too many Loiners fans have glasses half empty.

He's being sarcastic - the 'must win game' is his schtick, he will use it every game this season

OTOH Seumanafani, our biggest hitting prop should start after missing the FC game which kind of cancels out Garbutt's return (if indeed he's fit). Parcell can be a game changer but just as often goes missing. I reckon we'll win but have the feeling it'll not be easy.

| I think Parcell has 1 more game of his suspension to serve and I don't think Mitch is quite fit yet. Still gonna be tough game and I wouldn't be in the least surprised if we lost

| Incorrect, Parcell had a 3 game ban, which included one of the friendlies as per the rules. So is 100% back for this, I think he was also eligible for the FC game as he missed 2 pre season friendlies however he failed a fitness test. I'd expect him to be back in the team for Friday though.
Garbutt, who knows. Not even us KR fans know week by week what's happening with him, if he's in it's a bonus but our pack without him held out well against a bigger FC team last week, whether they can 2 weeks in a row is a different question.
Is the weeks break the best thing you need after a drubbing, I'm not sure. You constantly here coaches saying we would play again tomorrow to make it right after a poor performance so to sit on it for 2 weeks mentally may not be great. Physically it's a good rest, but do you need good rests at this stage of the season? Or do you need to be playing consistently to hit your straps.
Intriguing battle ahead.

| I would say at this stage of the season playing competitive rugby is more important than having a weeks rest.
Although the Aussies seem to get away with it when they play the WCC.

| 25% of all ticket revenue taken from Hull kr fans will go to Mose Masoe, a nice move from the club.

Great gesture from Leeds. That won't be an insubstantial amount of cash.

We are one game into the season with plenty to play for at this moment in time, not sure how you get that impression from one game.

Apart from the first 15 mins of the Hull match the performance was pretty poor. Even though it is early in the season, and technically not a must win game it's one of the games we should be targeting for 2 points (we are after all at home against one of our "relegation rivals"icon_wink.gif. Knowing Tony Smith's philosophy of keeping the ball alive in the opposition 35,(this was still evident in the Hull Fc derby resulting in the try of the season so far), I fear its going to be a long night if Agar doesn't learn from the lesson of last week's derby and the corresponding home fixture against KR from last season.Get them clamping the ball. I'm not normally a pessimist but a positive result may change me from a half empty glass sort of guy at the moment to a half full one, but it all depends on the performance they produce on Friday.

| Thought KR looked v handy in the derby. Could be a close game. They looked much better in attack than last year

| Just get the ball left as quickly as possible, KR's defense on their right edge is horrendous.

| Going off the FC performance and saying it last week before we were meant to play against the Giants. Leeds need look at kicking more on the 5th if we're less then 20m out of the try line. Too much trying to go for glory in the FC game, at least kick it and try to gain a Goal Line Drop Out if not a try. Leeds needs to keep an eye on Quninlon and Crooks.
