One of my favourites of the goldens; annoyed opposition fans, and opposition players at times, just by being who he is. Annoyed them more with those tries in the corner in big games though.

I really hope some of those Academy lads are talking and telling each other they’ll be the next ones to come through together and work for that success. It’s the humility and work ethic, team first mentality that really set that generation apart. Supremely talented players but humble and grafting.

There are a lot of really decent lads in there as well as superstars of RL.

Really looking forward to seeing some of these fresh-faced lads with dodgy haircuts develop into seasoned professional players.

Absolutely agree - and often came up with a big play in the big moments of the big games. One of those type of players we're sadly lacking at the moment. Not one of the superstars, but one of those on the next rung down in terms of natural talent, but with great work ethic and the benefit of being alongside those stars, played above the standard you'd expect of a player on his level of earnings, consistently. These are the types of players that are essential in the group being worth more than the sum.of it's parts.

That's a long way of saying fantastic player, fantastic attitude, great bloke and a pleasure to watch. And looked about 45 since he was 16 years old. Thanks for the memories Abbo.

Think this call could result in another year for Ferres.

It all depends on salary, and whether Ferres being three blocks a youngster coming through.

He is a physical player, like him or loathe him, and we do need some enforcers in there among the kids.

I’ll leave it with the club but won’t be excited if he does sign an extension.

Rumours are Ferres has signed a new 1 year deal but we will wait and see. I dont care either way but I know that left edge is better when he plays than when he doesn't and he is nowhere near as bad as people make him out to be. Whether he has extended I've no idea.
