| Quote: Marty Grrrrrrrrrr! "I've never seen a winger with so little protection either. Every time a high kick goes up we stand still and allow opposition free reign to compete for the ball. It happened all last yr and all this.
Playing wing or full back for this team is not only bad for your confidence it's bad for your health. Just lazy from some guys on the team.'"
Marty, whilst it is a fair point on protection, it isn’t an excuse. Every single type of kick, in any situation, the guy poops himself. He doesn’t attempt to catch the ball. He really has a mental problem with kicks, and it is damaging.

| In a weird way Cas at home's a bit of a free kick for Furner as they've beaten us too easily for several seasons. If I was him I'd use this game as a chance to experiment a bit.
The problem with persevering with the bulk of the squad for too long is then you leave yourself no time to take a gamble. BM kept on doubling down last year and it cost him his job. There are far too few players in the squad who respond to adversity with fight. Most of them just keep on crumbling and making the same mistakes every week.

| Despite losing we were much improved against Catalan. I would go for the same line up, with the exception of Ferres who I expect to be banned.

| There will be changes for Thursday, half of our bench was non effective, as soon as the replacements were made we went backwards. No doubt Furner will keep to his usual trick of sending a couple of players to Fev as part of the bad boys club, lol, Ferres will be banned, there is nowt between his ears, Bisco wants a taxi to Fev to play with Luke, he is simply busted, how Ash Golding cannot get in this team on the wing is beyond a joke. After Thursday a third of the season has gone, if we lose Furner has to go, no ifs or buts he has to go, the reality of relegation comes in and the massive drop in revenue if relaxation happens is not worth thinking about, GH and Caddick will / cannot let relegation happen and if we lose on Thursday the next game becomes a must win game, then the game after etc, if some players are in Last chance saloon then so is Furner.
Only way to beat Castleford is attack Eden at every opportunity, he had a mare of a game last week, he's as bad as Bisco, busted

| I agree about the bench, but not sure who we could bring in? Cuthbertson, Ablett and Crosby are all injured.

| Not a world-beater by any means but based on what I've seen so far this season Donaldson offers far more on attack and defence than JJB. Not sure what he's bringing to the side for all his experience.
Hopefully Ablett will make more of an impact. Not so long ago he had the power to change the direction of a game, but it will be a big ask after a long injury lay-off.

Not really a fair comment. JJB has only featured in 2 games off the bench so far with a total of 79 minutes. The first of these he was clearly not match fit and he is covering the tough central defending prop position and he didn't shirk tackling big Kasiano last night. The work rate of the two players is very similar but while JJB has made zero errors and no penalties, Donaldson has made 2 errors and 4 penalties.
JJB's match fitness after a long injury lay off will only improve as he gets more minutes. Of course he is way past his best but there are quite a number of players to blame for our defeat last night before JJB.

| Whether JJB or Donaldson is better shouldn't be up for debate. Neither should be in the Leeds playing squad.

Interesting - if you were going to drop Ferres it would be one of these two you might want to go with...

The disciplinary might be the ones who drop him.
Back to JJB, not sure he offers anything when running the ball in - and certainly not on the 5th. What's that about?

| We play like we did on Friday and it's all yours. We were awful. Attack our flanks as they just don't have it this season. Our right edge is very poor and Eden on the left had his worst game in a Cas shirt this week.

You won't play like you did on Friday. We cannot control a game, hence everyone is given licence to play the way they want to.
