I think the "gouge" looked worse in slow motion at full speed it looks like the arm is raised trying to push Walmsley off the tackler.

Clearwing I agree re-Cuthbo he was dragged down by the arm and the tacklers weight put on it (Taia or peyroux) then he had to have it re-strapped at HT.

That whole arm is bandaged up isn’t it (I mean before games even). It was hurt during play, and then again when he was grounding the ball on one of our “no try’s”.
If Crosby is about fit that could be a swap. Otherwise, could be time to roll out the Holroydinator.
Ablett, JJB and Donaldson must all be close as well as I don’t expect Ward will be fit for Wakey (or shouldn’t be).
If Walker is out also, our best option might be Tui to FB and Smith or McClelland in at the halves.
Sutcliffe didn’t do much for me against Saints, would be tempted to stand him down for this one although I doubt he will be.

I can't understand people wanting to put Tui to FB, might well offer something new in attack but the guy is not intrested in making a tackle!

The Tuition/Myler partnership isn't something we should be breaking up as it's too key that we get it right to have any sort of attacking threat. There must be someone else (Handley, Briscoe, Newman even) we could play at FB?

I reckon if Jack is out that Watkins will be fullback and Newman into the side at centre.

Don't much fancy Watkins under the high ball to be honest. We are playing Wakefield with Brough here - he'll kick us to death if we're not careful.
Also does Newman at right centre do anything to shore up that defensive group of Tui, Sutcliffe... ?
We could shift Hurrell across, at least he'll belt some people as they're running through us!
Going to be another interesting selection whichever way he goes - what I don't think he should do is play busted players this early in the season. Give a young'un a chance if needed, I don't think the current crop would let us down as long as there aren't too many introduced at once.

Funny enough at Keighley Newman played the 2nd half at full back so maybe that is being looked at as an option.

You never know they could put Sutcliffe there again and at least get Donaldson or Trout in the pack who will do some tackling for sure.
