| I didn't think Ferres was bad with the penalties this week. He gave at least one needless one away, but he also won one for us with the ball trap incident.

Ferres gave away 2 pens though I too only recall one of them.

As for the one he won, for me the wakey player was the one trying to cheat by pretending to be trapped and rightly getting pulled for interference. If you doubt this, trap the arm of a mate or even your wife in your armpit and try stop them breaking free.

But he pulls his arm out ferres would let the ball go and a penalty for a ball strip would be given. Lyne made a clear gesture to the ref he had his arm trapped. Hicks should have told Ferres to release him - it’s that simple

Maybe so. But not a case of Ferres having cheated which is what the Wakey fan to whom I'd replied had alleged. Lyne could easily have freed his arm; he chose not to.

| I thought one was near the end and he had played the full game. more of a tired slap than a deliberate high tackle

But he offers absolutely nothing in attack, along with his penalty liabilities. For me, as stated previous, he is a huge negative influence in this club.

Weird choice of player to look to for attacking prowess. Then again, our 1, 3, 4, 6, 7 & 9 don't look to have a match-winning moment between them, so why not? As for Ferres, I can take him or leave him.

| It's a shame we've not seen the destructive wide-running and off-load game that got Ferres an England shirt. If he could still do this he'd be an excellent player to bring off the bench to give us some much needed impact.

| Guessing Aiton never got passed on been able to play again then? and the Crosby deal never happened?
Ferres out doesn't surprise me in the least, as alluded to last week.

They’ve both been training at the club this week which makes no announcement even stranger.
