Widnes Leeds in challenge cup would have been a wow draw 30 years ago, it s meh draw now. in fact anything other than semi final is a meh draw for me, its a shame but the cup is just not that interesting unless your into semi or final.

As much as its talked up, the Challenge Cup suits Hull down to the ground: one off games that require no consistency and a big portion of luck.

Like the FA Cup, the once prestigious competition is now just a distraction, much like the WCC.

For the Leeds players in 2015, it was significant as it meant that a treble could realistically be won - for Hull that will never be the case due to the turnstile recruitment policy and inability to handle the BIG games.

I'm pretty sure players and fans alike would prefer it to either be revamped so a minnows CAN play a SL side - or binned off.
