Why is this a must win game?

not to mention the mis management by our MD thewlis who the majority of the fans want out more than anyone at the club

We’re coming off a loss with some tough fixtures in April.

It'd be good to reinforce a couple of good performances, even if it likely won't mean make or break in terms of silverware. Too often under McD we've played our knac*ers off against the top dogs only to follow up with a feeble effort against an underdog.

In the next 6 six weeks Leeds have Giants, Salford, Wakefield, Wigan, Hull and Hull KR - hardly a host of tough fixtures.

Perhaps but its hardly a must win game - lose and it will have a very limited impact on the season. Leeds lost 10 games last year and still won the competition. It could be argued that Leeds have a stronger side in 2018 when compared to most of the other sides than they did in 2017.

Injuries is a red herring for me - every team has 5-8 players unavailable on a constant basis.

I agree, 2 what should be with out being disrespectful easy wins, with 3 then tough games, if we can get 3-5 wins in next five we will be on halway point 8-12 games with a busted squad. I’d take that going into last 11 reguler games. If we lise could end up in middle if table fight.

These are dropped points if we lose these two, as far as i an concerned.

At this stage of the season and with our injury list we simply need to win.
Winning well is more important at the business end of the season, when the smell of autumn is in the air.

Yes, if you re-read I was agreeing with you. None the less, it'd be good to win the soft games as well as trophies to effectively confirm the squad is improving. Am I being greedy in wanting a team with our advantages to really grab a season by the throat?

Surely it matters WHO is Injured ,What Pisition they play & whether or not they are 1st choice 17 lads.

Yep, i do get sal's point to an extent, but we would cope better with 5/6 random forwards missing over just both our halves for example or say Myler and Parcel. Didn't Cas just have Hardaker missing for last years GF? And we all know how much that affected them.

Most teams will have a spread across the squad - and the impact of these injuries will have a similar impact as sides compensate for missing players by adjusting their tactics to cope. Wigan had as bad an injury list as Leeds in 2016 yet still managed to win the GF whilst Leeds didn't make the 8.
