| Melbourne are the best defensive side in the NRL - Leeds will not win by hoping to make big metres done the middle - it simply will not happen, they are far too organised and strong defensively.

Not saying that's how we'll win or he'll be able to do big numbers against Melbourne but we still need to make metres and he does more than any of our other props. He'll definitely give us more than Ormondroyd who'll be the next cab of the rank if Peteru and Oledzki aren't fit.

| Does anyone know if special match buses are running to Elland road on Thursday. If so what are the details? Thanks.

Always seems to me that Melbourne are not too bothered about giving up meters as long as they slow the ptb down

| They normally depart from Sovereign street near the Hilton Leeds City Hotel. I would expect them to be running on Thursday.

Fletcher: Course, he sees 'imself as an authority on curry, he does, on account of where he was stationed in the army.
Rudge: Where? India?
Fletcher: No, Bradford.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_40413.jpg |

| Not a happy hunting ground against the East Hull boys. We still owe them big time for being robbed in the '86 CC semi and David Laws dropped ball. We won't even begin to mention the replay........

What a see saw game that was. KRnt down to 12 men after 25 mins or so too after Harkin tripped the majestic Tony Currie. Only Leeds in that era could have failed to win that game. That Laws try on half time was absolutely ridiculous. Similar to Des Drummond at Fartown.
Great memories.

| We really should have put Hull KR away in the first game, it should have never gone to a replay.
If I remember rightly we were 10 or 12 points up early doors to then find ourselves 24-14 down against 12 men was a nightmare.
When Paul Medley scored I thought we'd won it but we missed the conversion and that was that.
The replay was a disaster from start to finish and only being 11 at the time I hardly saw any of the match as it was that packed in the Kop I couldn't see a thing.

We played Fev in the CC semi, didn’t we? I have vague recollections.

We would have lost the final anyway that year, so as gutting as the semi defeat was, not quite the same as giving Cas something to crow about for many a year.
