And others obvs'"
completely disrespectful to both those players specially Delaney who has been a cracking servant to the club. Yes he is busted but to quote "hopefully see the back of him" is out of order. Also Galloway as been decent but very unlucky with injuries.

No I actually had a go about the other part you mentioned something about a meeting.
Is that what it's been reduced to now, we've signed somebody but don't know who. I'd have thought in the several weeks that have passed one of the guys on here would have gotten a name, age, place of birth, inside leg measurement, favourite food, like they do for players who don't end up signing here. Standards are slipping.

| As said earlier we had Achurch for four seasons and he was paid so well couldn't get shot of him . When we make a signing like this I always think Achurch ,hopefully this works out. Oh and we get a decent thread going with this news and someone ' Dog whistles' and the arguments and feuds spill over and resume again

| This probably means a permanent move to loose forward for Cuthbertson or Singleton then?
Cuthbertson
Garbutt
Galloway
Singleton
Mullally
Peteru
Oledzki
Given that Galloway and Cuthbertson probably have 2 seasons left in them at the most, we seem to be planning ahead well.

| Happy with this,Love this kind of signing, much the same as garbutt and parcell in the sense that he's off the radar slightly but just coming into his best years. He's a player that when watching gold coast on premier sports, without paying close attention to him,he always impressed me,a bit like how tyrone roberts used to always impress me in his newcastle days despite not being a big name.
Iv watched quite a few full games of goldcoast this morning to pay closer attention to him and also got some stats together from his first grade career to date,so for anyone interested this is my take on him from what iv seen:
He's a huge fella but he's certainly no plodder,he's athletic and agile for a man of his size. He hits the ball up hard and with pretty good pace,he's not your JP kind of workhorse who would take every hitup if you let him but he's also not your ian kirke/mitch achurch style of 3 hitups in half an hour kind either,he looks to have more fire in his little finger than them 2 combined,he puts his hand up and does his fair share,he's came off the bench in all but one game doing anywhere between 20 and 40 mins, fortunatly he looks better both stats wise and to the eye when he does longer minutes,he looks like he could do 50 mins at super league level comfortably. Defensively,he's not a very big hitter and not someone you'd want to avoid if you were taking a ball in,but he make his tackles and dosnt concede many penalties,he isnt a liability in any way,id say he's as solid defensively as you'd expect a prop to be without being spectacular. This is backed up by his stats:
In 22 first grade games he's averaged 9 meters a hit up..(mitch garbutt leads all props in super league this season with 8.3 meters a hit up)..He's only missed 17 tackles and only made 5 errors,he hasnt played as many minutes as a lot of props but theyr still really solid numbers for a prop his size as usually a giant props biggest deficiencys are errors(penalties) and being targeted in defence.
Im really excited by the signing, think gh could of found us another gem.

Calm down dear. Delaney is a legend no doubt.
Galloway has done absolutely nothing in a Rhinos shirt + I'm sure he's on a decent wedge. Two bad injuries recently too. Both Achilles snapped if I remember correctly? Time to get rid and bring someone new in.

This basically.
Never heard of him...Could be good could be bad, as is the nature of a signing like this one. Sadly the days of bringing over top class NRL players even at the fag end of their careers are dying by the the year. the likes of Cam Smith, Gallen, Cronk, Parker etc.. would rather see out there time in NRL and retire there than come over for a couple of years now as was the way back in the day. There are still some gems to had mind, lets hope this is one.

Galloway stood up and was counted for me in a pathetic season allround and one to forget last year, i think him being JP's direct replacement led to some unfair criticsm at times.this year before injury he looked the part on a much steadier ship, such a shame he got injured when he did as he was really settling into being a pack leader.
If he has the determination to get over 2 snapped achiles, i think he deserves a chance next year to prove his worth one more time, just my opinion.

| Suppose he'll be gone after next season regardless. I just don't rate him at all. But I don't rate Singleton or Mullally either.

Fair enough, yes probably only got a year left unless he does show up well and avoid injuries.
I don't really think Singleton and mullally are owt special either but i suppose you have to have some run of the mill squad fillers.we have always had them, kirke and Bailey.Mcdonald and Ward etc...

| Mullally has shown up well with ball in hand, defensively needs to improve if he wants to stay in the 17 when everyone is fit next year.
Singleton isn't good enough to be a starting prop

| Really thought Singleton was going to turn into something special after his game changing stint v Ull few year back. Blokes done nothing of any note at all. Absolute plodder.
I guess Mullally is in his first season as a first team player. Maybe I'm being a tad harsh on him. I guess he needs more time to show what he's got?
