Fletcher: Course, he sees 'imself as an authority on curry, he does, on account of where he was stationed in the army.
Rudge: Where? India?
Fletcher: No, Bradford.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_40413.jpg |

| Quote: TheSnowmonkey "Thank you Danny for your contribution in bringing much success to the club. It has been a great joy to watch you play and you have give us some wonderful memories with your superb rugby skills. Your not just a Leeds legend but a legend of the game as Super Leagues all time top try scorer. Best wishes for the future may it be as fruitful as it was with Leeds.'"
Deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as Jones, Holmes and Schofield for mine.

| Hopefully this news will spur him and the team on a la Sinfield and Peacock (with other departures/retirements to be announced in due course?).
It goes without saying that he has had a massive impact on the club's success, and he will always be one of my all-time favourite Leeds players. Perhaps more than any other player, it was McGuire bursting on to the scene as a regular in 2004 that signaled our return to winning silverware on a regular basis. At the time no other team had a player of equivalent skill and pace in the middle of the field. The likes of Sam Tomkins would do well to follow McGuire's evolution into a different kind of successful player after his pace deserted him.

icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.:icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg |

| Along with Sinfield the greatest player of the golden generation - the memories are so many from the two tries in the semi against Saints in 2003, the GF winning try in 2004 to that kick at Huddersfield in 2015.
The greatest shame is the injury at Wigan in 2010 when he really was at his peak - Danny was never quite the same player again.
It has been a great pleasure watch someone who has been a credit to himself and the club for his entire career.

I could see this happening, I don't think he'd go to another Championship club.

He said in his interview with radio yorkshire , as a response to the question, how would you feel facing against Leeds "it'd be weird if that's how it works out which it potentially probably will do"
Read of that what you will.
www.radioyorkshire.co.uk/rhinos- ... ds-career/
Even though this day was inevitable I for one will very sad to see him leave. Was always my fav player as a kid. Really hope we can send him off on a high.
The way I read it is he and the club felt like it was the right time to move on to allow younger players to have their chance. And as a Leeds supporter he wanted to do what was right for the club. Which I hugely admire and think is very hounerable.
I hope if he ever does face Leeds he gets a good response from our fans- which I'm sure he will.

| Easily my favourite player of the last 15 years, if not my favourite ive seen play, he waa almost unplayable when he was on form, 2004 was a revelation. 2010 he was head and shoulders above everyone else IMHO, real shame he suffered thst injury from which he never really recovered but in 2015 played a huge part in us winning all 3 titles.
All the best Danny it's been a pleasure. Id like to see him help out a championship side rather than sign for a SL club and having to see him line up against us

| I really hope we have amother half back signed up that can play the general role... Or Lilley is given a good pre season and a chance to prove himself.

| He's given every Leeds fan some wonderful memories. But for the rugby Gods striking him down we'd have had 5 GF wins on the bounce, no question. Now lets send him off at the top!

| Danny McGuire has been a fantastic player and ambassador for our club
I have been privileged watching Danny progress at the club from when he initially joined as a youngster and played in our academy sides, right through to the Glory years that subsequently followed.
Danny played vital parts in all of our successes since his unforgettable cameo role in the Challenge Cup semi final extra time win v Saints in 2003
Danny will be remembered as a true legend of our great club and his name will be engraved in the fabric of our club forever more
I posted this back in 2014 when Danny's integrity was called into question from a Wigan fan
Quote: "The Biffs Back wrote
Danny will be remembered by most as a legend of our club but he will be remembered by me as an even better person for the services he has undertaken to help the under privileged kids without shouting about it from the rooftops
Respect Danny you've certainly earned it

| A Leeds legend, good luck Danny Mags.
5 tries v Widnes at HQ was a particular highlight for me, probably around 12 years ago now if memory serves me right
