| A third team winning a trophy this season would've been my choice, but it's a shame Catalans fell off the cliff so drastically, as I wanted them to win it, but I'd go for Warrington now, simply because I don't think I could stand seeing any of the other 3 teams winning it.

| If, by some miracle Hull manage to beat Wigan and the DW, there is no way they back it up at OT the following week imo.
i guess their fans would have more than taken a CC before the season started but what a missed opportunity it really was for them on Friday.
unfortunately i fancy Wigan will win it now

| I want warrington to win it now.
Not saints because they'll equal our SL title haul and I can't see us notching another for a good few years.
Not wigan, just cos, it's wigan.
Hull already have the CC cup.
Thank god Hull didn't win on friday. If they did they'd be all on for the treble, and we can't have another team equaling our super special unique achievement so soon. The treble remains intact! Hull will be happy with the CC but they'll look back in a few seasons and realise what a massive chance it was. It took us over a decade of consistently winning trophies to do it. We know the slog it takes, Hull blew a big chance.

I'm glad actually that Hull were at least in the position because it highlights just how hard it is to do the treble. Same as us after Wembley, 1 win from 4. When you're playing your nearest rivals in this Super 8's league then you can't afford form like that but it so hard to avoid it post Wembley win. The last 4 years the Challenge Cup winners record in the following regular season league games in W2 L11, and those wins were Hull edging past a Wakey team that normally would be bottom 4 and us doing Hudds at the death last year.

| its a telling trend, yet look how Warrington have responded who played in the same final. yes they let it slip against Wigan but victory over Catalans away and Hull away with key players missing shows that it is probably as much in the head as anything else.

True. We lost the CC final and came back to win the GF in 2011 & 2012. Especially because we had to come from 5th I'm not sure we'd have won those GF's had we won the Cup just before.

| For a team that hasn't won a bean in years it was bound to take some focus away from Hull. I do agree on the mental side with it being in their head etc though Warrington have an edge due to lesser times between drinks and more recent success.
