| Golding at fullback over Sutcliffe, I thought he was poor defensively at fullback and should have done better on a couple of occasions, golding would have at least stopped one of them tries.
Again we were best in attack with Burrow at 9 and Sutcliffe and Lilley in the halves, unfortunately this puts even more pressure on our already poor defensive ruck. I would probably drop Falloon all together and put Baldwinson on the bench to give us a more mobile forward in the middle.

| I get the feeling that baldwinson is not ready for being chucked into Sl in a struggling team. over the years youngsters hand been introduced gradually especially forwards

| I think McDermott is getting increasingly desperate - so he keeps playing injured players such as Ablett and especially Delanney. Delaney seems incapable of getting through 80 minutes so what is the point?
Baldwinson cannot do a lot worse than what we are seeing out there plus having some game time with JJB will do a lot of good IMO

| Tough fixture, although they are bottom, huddersfield look like they have turned things round in the last few weeks.

Agree. Can't see what the difference is between throwing Mullally in and Baldwinson. Delaney and Achurch are both gaining selection ahead of the latter when they shouldn't be. Delaney might have the spirit but no longer the body (McDermott flogging-his-favourites chickens coming home to roost) conversely Achurch.

Because the two you want out are back rowers, and the two you want in are props. It would be pointless going with five props in a 17.
I want Baldwinson to have a crack, just like many others. But I look at the four props last night, and can't see who I would drop for him.

Singleton could probably make a better second rower than Delaney (who can't pass) and Achurch (who won't tackle). Baldwinson to prop ...sorted

| Should be a really cool scar on his forehead.
The chicks will love it. Just adds even more to his bad boy image doesn't it. I hope he wears a nice leather jacket.

Hardaker. Not sure when he did it though - he already had a scrum cap on by the time Amor mullered him.

Really? If you start with the extra prop at 13, something Leeds did a lot of last year and either Singleton or Baldwinson is capable of doing, why couldn't you have five props in the 17?

Because when We did it Cuthbertson was the main man who switched, whom incidentally is another prop to add come next week. So therefore looking at six.

| Quote: cheekydiddles "McD said that ferris, Magsy and Cuthbo all have a chance for next week.
Of more concern was his comments that neither Faloon or Delaney should have played. What does Baldwinson have to do to get a fair crack in this team. Surely fresh/Able bodies, even if inexperienced are better than constantly playing 'busted favourites'??'"
watching ablett early on he also appeared injured to me which if correct means we started the game with 3 injured forwards. Perhaps not that much of a shock that saints were so much better at start of game than we were. I thought we would get a heavy beating after 15 mins. Strangely by the end I felt more confident about things overall that at any time this year. The team spirit looked strong and to me appears they are still playing for Mcd. Hope we get some forwards back for next week for the battle of the basement. I'd rather win the cup game if had to choose one. If we go out of the cup the season is just about trying to be in sl next year, which is a really grim prospect in early May. Take all the points about revenue etc. finishing 8th with no chance of 4th does not sound like much of a money maker for play-offs.
