| I think resting players is a great idea, at least 5 from your regular team would sound about right.

I think rotating the squad a little will give us the best chance of winning both games. Having the same players play 3 games in 8 days is a big ask.

| I agree but I cannot see it happening tbh
I would be amazed if Delanney isn't back despite his injury

| Garbut, Singleton and Achurch in the squad so off the naughty step. Hall, McGuire, Delaney and Abblett injured.
No doubt Lilley will warm the bench again and Ferres will do another 80 with Burrow being his usual ineffective self.
If we can't beat Wakefield at home even without McGuire we really are in trouble.

| Worst WBSLR team and weakest squad by some distance who also happen to be disadvantaged by their short 3 day turnaround, and no doubt delighted to have earned 2 points over the Easter period. Leeds also get to play them at home. Couldn't have been arranged at a more beneficial and fortuitous time for Leeds.
Leeds therefore to win comfortably (OK, the scoreline might be something like 50-24) and all the knee-jerk artistes on this forum to steady their knees and feel all warm and fuzzy and fine and dandy about the team finally on course (which would have been the same feeling had Leeds scraped a 14-12 win at Cas a few days ago instead).
Leeds by 26.
IMMHO of course.
The quality and intensity will be dreadful though.

Think your twelve month out there William old boy. Though I'd agree that we probably do still have the thinest squad in SL which I suppose equates to the weakest I think the gap you are suggesting is no longer that big and closing all the time.
The addition of England, Moore, Arona and Anthony Tupou to the squad had helped a lot plus those who did perform last year such as Ashurst and Simon continue to do so. The return to form of Kirmond will also start to tell as the season goes on. However the real boost has come from the emergence from the junior ranks of Tom Johnstone, Max Jowitt and to a lesser degree Chris Anakin. They have brought a freshness and enthusiasm to the club that only young players can. Our biggest weakness remains our half backs, with Finn who is functional and Miller who frustrates at every moment which is bad enough but we have nothing in reserve if either gets worse or injured.
Not claiming we are world beaters and we will be bottom four but bottom is by no means a certainty. I expect a fairly easy win for you, but then you are champions playing at home so I'd expect an easy win for you against most teams.
PS: You don't fancy swapping Jones Bishop for one of your young halves do you? I suppose not

Vastman... I'd like to apologise to you, the Wakey club and the rest of the Wakey fans for talking your club down too much.
Great result for your lads today, particularly given the shorter Easter turnaround your squad had.
Respect.
Yours sincerely,
William Eve.

| That was a terrible performance all the way through like I said we should be thumping Wakefield at home but were not a class act this season at all. Dk what Falloon was thinking was on there in dying minutes when Burrow was set for a drop goal. I can't see us making top 4 this year we need something drastic to happen and quickly!!!

Thanks for that William.
You can talk Wakefield down as much as you want, & you’d be correct, the Whipping Boy tag is still all ours .
Enjoy the meltdown on here tonight though .

No problem Mr Hicks
I listened on the radio and it sounded like your lads deserved to win with better crafted tries as opposed to Leeds clueless kick, lucky bounce and hope for the best bollox.
I think Wakey have their backs to the wall more than any of the other current SL club so every win for them is a bonus IMO. Great season effort so far given the financial situation, uncertainty and the earlier coaching-ego-dummy-spit setback.
I thought Leeds would be crap and still win today. They've been doing that for the past decade and getting away with it. Has the tide finally turned?

What? What complete rubbish. Having loads of ball and a referee who gives you everything, more than I have ever seen to Leeds in a game before, does not constitute an improvement.
The performance was worse than the Huddersfield one, which I never thought possible. The coach has clearly lost the dressing room, as they clearly do not listen, if he is saying anything to improve.
Will give a big rap to Walters though, a player I don't rate, but whom I thought played very well today, much better than his team mates.
I have never seen a worse stand off in Leeds history than the current incumbent. The excuses need to stop.
