Well done you. But did you order online and get the season ticket holder discount though?
Never again.

Though earlier in the year it was, when I tried to buy tickets for the Wigan game. Though it wouldn't take off the member discount and kept telling me to use the print at home option. But the print at home option wasn't available.
I lost the will to live so gave up and Leeds lost out on an extra attendee at the Wigan game.'"
I thought I had an account too but no record of it so had to start again.
I must've imagined setting one up in the past and ordering merchandise.

What was wrong with the little book of tickets we used to get as a season ticket? Much preferred it to these new fangled card thingys.
As Loiner81 says there have been issues over accounts and getting the discount so I gave up. Should be easier than it is, it isn't very user friendly.

There was nothing wrong with it Per Se, but it is inefficient overall and requires more staff (staff = wages) to implement and retention of paper records. Businesses want automation of sales, and that's where Web Commerce (eCommerce) comes in.
eCommerce has its pitfalls and depends on the amount of investment and customisation for your business. If Leeds Rugby are using an "Off the Shelf" eCommerce Package it does "everything everyone wants but not what we want", type of thing. Bespoke eCommerce Systems are tailored to the specific business, but can be buggy as hell due to the custom features and functionality.
All in all eCommerce will increase profits and efficiency, but like you say, you need to thrive to make the system as easy to use as possible. This is known as "A Good User Experience" in the Industry.
My opinion is that the Online Ticketing System is quite good overall, but if Discount Codes aren't being applied to Transactions correctly, then it is most definitely something the 3rd Party Developers need to address.

| If there's a Fans Forum rep posts on here these are the kind of issues they need to be made aware of. Otherwise the club are just going to think everything is hunky-dory and carry on with a system that clearly doesn't work.

| I but tickets online regularly. Standard fixtures work OK, but the last few times there has been a cup/playoff game with a members discount to apply the system has failed miserably.
The same happened Saturday morning, clicked "buy tickets" and then got an error about "no price available for this purchase". Tried again to be told the tickets had gone (my seats!).
Gave up, rang the number and bought over the phone. I tried to tell the guy on the phone that the online system had a problem which was probably lengthening the phone queues but he wasn't interested. (The last time it happened I emailed the ticket office full details to help them fix it .... no reply).

I was only joking about the card system, it's miles better and isn't a disaster if you lose it unlike the old paper system.
As for the online tickets, plenty of places including small retailers seem able to have a decent online purchasing or ticketing system. I applaud them for introducing a print at home option, but the whole thing isn't user friendly and isn't explained well, also doesn't appear to have a help or FAQ option which would really help people.
I use and buy stuff online all the time so I'm not web illiterate, and I maybe could have navigated my way through it, but I just couldn't be bothered so gave up.

End of the day you're gonna use the easiest option for you, which is completely understandable. It's up to Leeds Rugby to engage the Web Developers to improve User Experience and resolve Bugs with Discounting Baskets. Not to do this is a massive failing as it doesn't improve Ticket Office Queues as people won't use the Online System if they have no confidence in it.
